I finally got around to finishing the Octo Expansion during my vacation, and I loved absolutely every bit of it. It filled that itch I had with Splatoon 2's vanilla story mode in the sense that Pearl and Marina were no where to be found. I really didn't care for them much as characters for the past year or so especially compared to the Squid Sisters. But Octo Expansion not only scratched that itch,it slapped my face and asked who my daddy was. The challenges were great (except the Bamboozler crate rail grind one go to hecc), the music was amazing, the story was even better than both 1 and 2's imo, and overally definitely worth the $20. Go pick it up if you haven't yet!

I had so much fun making this that I don't remember the last time I got up early on only 4 hours of sleep to go straight to my computer to work on it again. Admittedly remixing has lost quite a bit of its charm for me as I've been doing this for 5 years. But there are still sparks of light like Fly Octo Fly that fuel me to continue pushing these out. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did remixing it, I wanted to tell a story which is why I have all these wonderful art pieces to go along with them all credited down below! Fly Octo Fly Remix - Splatoon 2 - Ebb & Flow (Off the Hook) [Final Boss]

The first thing I did when I heard Octo Expansion drop was look up the final boss theme and get right away to arranging, but a few gratuitous setbacks here and there had me postpone this to make it the visual spectacle it turned out to be, and I couldn't have done it without @jtangc yet again!!

One of my favorite things of Octo Expansion's soundtrack -- and Splatoon as a whole -- is how strong the recurring motif usage is, like how they build up the final boss theme with the Mission Complete jingle!! Can't expect anything less from the audio team at this point. Hope you enjoy!

This song was my favorite track in the entire DLC. Just hearing a messed up version of Splattack while Agent 3 is being mind controlled brought so much nostalgia since Splatoon 1 was more memorable to me than Splatoon 2. Lower your pitchforks! Let me explain. I was going through some pretty tough times when Splatoon 1came out, (loneliness) so it was there for me when I needed to pass the time before work. I played it 10 times longer than I played Splatoon 2, so I love this DLC because it felt like a love letter to Splatoon 1 fans. I wanted to add more video effects to this but sadly ran out of time. Also fun fact! I included my old Splattack remix that's 3 years old into this one at 44 seconds in, to give that nostalgia factor :P Crazy to think how far it's all come!
