The Coventry Carol, 15th century, from Coventry, England. 
     This piece concerns the nativity and Herod's kill order for all male children in Bethlehem. Essentially, it is a mourning song. The Coventry Carol is derived from the medieval Coventry Plays, which were first performed in the 14th century and depicted portions of the biblical New Testament. The earliest name associated with them is Robert Croo, and they were categorized as "mystery plays," combining acting with song to portray biblical mysteries/miracles.

Song for my grandfather. About a year before he died, my dad and I took him to a culinary garden because sensory stimulation helps with memory and he had advanced Alzheimer's. He was much more lucid and actually knew who we were afterwards. That was one of the last times I saw him.
