Chrysalis, the new album by The Metamorfosi. Published by Mauna Loa and distributed by Believe, it’s the band’s first major creation totally conceived and written in English. A mature, articulated and contaminated sound, a Mediterranean abstract overlooking the international scene and exploring the boundaries of today's indie /rock sounds. 

“Shadings of a chrysalis evolving to a butterfly”: Chrysalis is a moment of evolutions, profound changes, transformation and “metamorphosis” that are artistically affecting the band. Lyrics and music show many diverse influences which have accompanied the growth of the band over the years: from rock to jazz, combining the rarefied sound atmospheres from the current independent music scene with those from a solid rock tradition. Alongside guitar and drums we now find colourfull fillings with strings and percussions that develop ample reverberations at times and intimate athmospheres in others.

The lyrics found in the Chrysalis album reveal the need of a return to a primitive state, an encounter with mother nature, the obligation to get in touch with the very essence of things.
