Forbidden Desires - Burning Elegy (Preview)

Today on our platform we have a new premiere. VEIVERIS announces the debut album “Virsmas”, which will be self-released on May 15th. One of the album’s lead singles, “Naktistata” made in a collaboration with 5ZYL, introduces VEIVERIS' storytelling vision, with Lithuanian vocals and nightclub sound.  

In the album, the artist explores themes of personal development, becoming, and the never-ending process of change within oneself. Stylistically, the album revolves around the influences of dance-floor oriented genres, creating a unique clash of musical styles and a musically dynamic soundscape.   

VEIVERIS, an alias for Gytis Veiveris, who is a producer and live act hailing from Lithuania. Beginning his musical journey from nightclubs, the artist now delves into performing electronic music live, bringing in synthesised sound and screaming vocals to his performances.

For this new full-length output, Gil.Barte delivers on Teenage Menopause an 8 tracks LP full of formal strength and psychedelic grandeur. Unlike the vast near-death explorations or trancey adventures he developped on various labels such as Neubau, Big Science Records, Homemade Soundsystem or his own imprint Meth'O'Tapes, the meaningfully-named « Claviceps Purpurea » is a botanist guide to the valleys of the mind.

Extra Bleu Ciel is a bipolar borderline hyperactive teenager who likes to eat marshmallows at the cemetery.
Extra Blue Ciel cries with joy contemplating the flight of hysterical crows at sunset.
Extra Blue Ciel loves joyful despair and finds joy hopeless.
Extra Bleu Ciel will always be 15 years old in 1981.

"Hypersensible" is the idiosyncratic trace left by individuals oscillating between nightmare reality and waking dream, sailing between naive euphoria and lucid disillusionment, trying to defy fatality and maintain hope, dancing in the pre-diluvian mud of a dying 21st century.
