As always, we fundraise with this release for our social partner @Love-foundation and we introduce you to the artist Hugo aka Pelikaan, by asking him three questions.

What is love for you? I'm the father of a 3yo little girl, so when I think about the love she's the first thing that springs to mind!
Love is the ultimate necessity to give without needing a return. Giving love to others around us is the most generous act we are capable of, while receiving love is what makes us bloom. I would have never made this EP without the love and support of the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend: my beautiful wife who pushed me to share the music I had inside of me with the world.

What's the closest thing to real magic for you? We all experience magic every day as the driving force that binds the universe together. I became Buddhist a few years ago which gave me a way to connect to that energy. With this in hand, you can overcome any obstacle in your life and you become the only architect of your happiness and one of the people around you. It doesn't beat Dr Strange but we're not too far off.

What's the most useless talent you have? I can make my eyes tremble. Don't ask me how, I just can. Yes, I know it's creepy.

A new label to enter the underground house milieu, Pillbox has a set of 24-carat gold credentials from which to cast its net over the global club scene. Owned and curated by Proton progenitor, Sam Packer, the label's first release sees a track from German and Lebanese talents. Remixes come from Australia and Germany.

An artist with a rich electronic music history, Chris Zippel has been immersed in the world of house since the age of 15. Splitting his time between Berlin and Ibiza, the German artist has taken centre stage with work alongside the Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams, Jose Padilla and Steve Lawler. With music signed to Ubersee Music, Allisum Records and GMJ & Matter's Meanwhile Horizons, Zippel continues to grow in stature. A rising star, renowned for her status as a leading Qanun player, Ghenwa Nemnom has combined her love of the traditional Middle Eastern instrument with an ability to use its unique sound in the world of dance music and the organic house sound found on such leading imprints as Café De Anatolia, Alt Orient and Melody of the Soul. Now joining forces for the first time, "To Follow" is an extraordinary track that drifts enticingly with gently rolling beat and deep 16th note sub bassline. In tandem, the beautifully plucked sound of Nemnom's Quanun reveals itself in a virtuoso performance. A whispering vocal phrase emerges at the mid-point before ambient effects and subtly placed arpeggio combine in the second half to spine-tingling and immaculately crafted effect.

Gavin Griffin needs no introduction to those familiar with the progressive house sound of the past 5 years. A leading light in the underground fraternity with his performance behind the decks and near 500 production credits for the like of Anjunadeep, Balance Music and Proton Music, the Australian artist continues to push boundaries, defining the modern progressive sound. Reworking "To Follow", the GMJ remix is dripping in trademark silky smooth melodies and rolling rhythmic underpinning. Building imperceptibly, a vocal sample from Zippel and Nemnom's original creates a melodic peg from which to hang a glorious analogue synth motif. The cadenced phrase shimmers across the stereo spectrum as layer of pads and counterpoint motifs create an uplifting sonic experience. Using the fundamental harmonic themes from "To Follow", the track builds post-breakdown into a glorious sonic collage that showcases GMJ's technique and talent to the full.

A seasoned producer with almost a decade's experience, Karlsruhe born, Benjamin Landhäuser, has music in his blood. Surrounded by a family of artists and a leading light in the downtempo fraternity, his Landhouse production soubriquet has seen a double century of credits find their way onto a plethora of esteemed imprints including Amselcom, WAYU Records and Leveldva. Sprinkling his distinctive production touch over "To Follow", a delicate shaker-driven percussion lilts over the emotive bassline progression from the original, while the vocal entwines effortlessly with Landhouse's beautifully imagined synth lines and wandering arpeggios. Rising and falling with ease, subtle touches of Ghenwa Nemnom's Quanun are sampled and driven through effects to create a unique aural atmosphere that evolves into the second half.

As Chris Zippel & Ghenwa Nemnom begin their Pillbox journey, "To Follow" is led by forwarding thinking remixes from GMJ and Landhouse.

Noema’s record label The Magic Movement revisits Xique-Xique's debut album 'Na Lagoa' with new remixes by Zoe Reijue and Psilosamples.

Xique-Xique dropped their downtempo and trippy 'Na Lagoa' album via The Magic Movement in 2021 and this release features dance floor friendly reworks of its most popular tracks.

The first of the reworked tracks comes from Zoe Reijue who delivers a new version of "Prelúdio". Having previously featured on other labels including YION, Serafin Audio Imprint and WAYU Records, her remix has the original's enchanting atmosphere and dreamy melodies layered with additional percussion.

Psilosamples is an emerging talent from Brazil whose remix of "Espelho d'água" focuses on the original's flowing percussion, but strips back the lead synth to create a more atmospheric version.

If you've been in the club scene for many years like David Dorad, you will one day face the big, essential, serious questions that each of us will ask ourselves sooner or later:

Are marmots pack animals?
Can marmots sign language?
Do marmots plan their lives according to European or Chinese zodiac signs?
Do marmots need a special passport, after all they don't have a thumb to turn the pages?
What happens when a marmot eats Coke and Mentos at the same time?

And with all those questions whistling, hissing and muttering in his head, David grabbed piano, baton and BioBassline to crochet his new EP. This is called "Marble" and offers 6 different approaches to solve these big questions. As a source of ideas, he has competent partners at his side in Roman Flügel, Mira, Christopher Schwarzwälder, Canson and Sascha Cawa.

We always want to introduce you to the artists behind the music. In this case it is Pedro aka @meraki4

He wrote a little text about the meaning of the song for him:
"Gezellig" pronounced like “Huhg-zell-hgick” is a word that I got in touch right when I arrived to Amsterdam and it has a very beautiful meaning: a blend of simple pleasures like cosiness, togetherness, conviviality, jolliness, contentedness.
And of course we also asked him three questions:

1) What is your favorite book to read? My favourite book to read is Sidarta by Hermann Hesse

2)if you were a super-hero, what powers would you have? My superpowers would be ultra fast flying skills, teleportation, being able to raise my chi and change my appearance when I hit a certain level, shoot beams from my hands and super strenght, pretty much like the main character of Dragon Ball 🐉

3) What's the longest you've gone without sleep (and why)? The longest I've went without sleeping was during a summer solstice festival in Belgium where after not sleeping for one night me and two friends were supposed to close the main stage with a b3b at around 6pm and we ended up playing till 8am because everybody was having a lot of fun and didn't want to leave
