"Movimento Paralelo Vol.1" is the first installment of an ongoing compilation by the collective, multidisciplinary label and pioneer local online radio Metanol FM, walking through different music spectrums in remote collaborations – from jazz to acid, breakbeat, and ghettotech, crossing the paths of Brazilian funk, electro, and techno under an experimental narrative.

With 13 tracks between skits and authorial jams, composed by Akin Deckard, Guillerrrmo, Letricia, Ramenzoni, SysEx, and Ramenzoni, "Movimento Paralelo Vol.1" was sculpted around solo sax sessions recorded by jazzist member Dharma Jhaz, and got remotely produced by the artists involved as an attempt to keep music inspiration alive in these lockdown times. The compilation brings an additional secret folder as part of its content, with original sample banks, music outtakes, subversive literature, a self-built drum rack for Ableton Live, and a video mix by the audiovisual duo TAO, composed as a visual remix of the release. To unlock it, the listeners will need to crack a code inputted between the cover and track names.

At the same time, Metanol soon will be launching a related open-source music community on Discord, focused on collective mentoring, sharing tools, and extended collaborations as a way to promote stimulus for independent artists on the path of their artistic journey. As they say, "this is our call-to-action for the future of the Brazilian electronic music scene", working together on the basis of discussing ideas to build a supportive network for unknown, unnoted, and upcoming artists.

Jazzy, an unprecedented collaboration between headlabel Tha_Guts and São Paulo producer Ätzøk, promotes the third release of the label DSRPTV rec. The EP features the original tracks of the duo 'Jazzy' and 'Kitchen', circumspect and multiform structures in gently accumulative dynamics. 'Jazzy' also takes a remix by Akin Deckard, a version self-styled as Legato Acid Remix, and 'Kitchen' gets a deconstructed and atmospheric edition of the label itself, ending the EP's magnetic narrative. The work consolidates DSRPTV's aesthetic proposal by presenting deviant and unprecedented sounds, resuming here the singularity of bebop jazz under experimental lenses, in the three-dimensionality of an electronic environment.

PREMIERE | Tha Guts, Ätzøk - Jazzy (Akin Deckard Legato Acid Remix) [DSRPTV Rec] 2021

Nørus, moniker from the producer and audio engineer Felipe Bortoloti, an upcoming name from Brazil's dusty-introspective house and techno scene, can be seen as a highlight around the main exquisite and lo-fi music channels around the globe this days, including EELF, Moskalus, Be-at.tv, Haus of Altr, Palmstructure and We lofi, to say some. 

Collecting references from his transitory living on different cities around Brazil, his music travels through the boundaries of 4x4 music to stoned ethereal landscapes with a prolific dance floor inclination. Back in São Paulo, his childhood home base, Nørus is moving forward in the search of his music inner self, dropping timeless gems ahead of owned-label Yellow Island and the music collective and radio station Metanol FM.

“Lacraia, também conhecida como “centopeia”, são animais caçadores noturnos muito rápidos que possuem o corpo adaptado para penetrar em frestas, onde se escondem durante o dia.” 

Com a constante eliminação das existências não-normativas do planeta, pensar na artista Lacraia é lembrar de umas das primeiras figuras pretas e não normativas na TV brasileira, um choque da não cisgenesis que invadiu a vida de todas as pessoas nos anos 2000, onde as narrativas heteronormativas ocupavam (e ainda ocupam) todos os espaços possíveis. Espaços formados por estruturas binárias de comportamento que se fincaram em muitas almas, uma geração que dava muita importância a um projeto de liberdade a partir das vestes, culturas, comportamentos e estéticas, graças à revolução digital que influenciou todos os continentes.

Precisamos imediatamente apoiar artistas vives, e interromper os processos de santificação das pessoas TLGBQI+, pessoas que não escolheram a morte, e sim foram condicionadas a interromper a sua existência por conta da estrutura de humanidade em que habitamos.

Entenda que tudo que foge de uma engrenagem binária, não é bem-vinde.
TRANS, não vivem lugares de binariedade.
BIXAS, não vivem lugares de binariedade.

Será que em pleno 2020 não estamos caindo e vivendo nos mesmos sistemas excludentes? Abraçando a verdadeira miséria, e beijando o antagonismo das representatividades TLGBQI+?!
