DILEMMA, a new Single by MetaQuorum from the Mini Album SKETCHBOOK (forthcoming in March 2024) is a short track in MetaQuorum’s hallmark Meld style. Composed and arranged by Dmitry Ermakov in the band’s signature structural fusion technique, it starts with a taut Neo-baroque/Prog interlude which unexpectedly yet seamlessly flows into a chill Funk cadence thus harmoniously resolving the dilemma of a seemingly unsolvable musical equation.

Ben (@Crystalizemusic), Antuane (@FransisDerelle) and I have become really good friends during this past year. Music brought us together and it's crazy how sharing only one passion can build such a strong friendship. 

We had the idea to do a 3-way collaboration for a while but never ended up doing it. For the new year, we felt that it had to be done and so this track is what we created, a blend of all our styles with the musicality of the original NGHTMRE and Boombox Cartel tune (shoutout Tyler, Jorge x Americo for an unreal track). 

All three of us want to thank you for an incredible year -- we've played huge shows, gained support from our idols, created the best music of our careers and it's all because of you. THANK YOU AND HAPPY 2016. <3

The search for sound, the Absolute Sound, the sound that is connected with the outside world and the Beginningless is an idea that excited both the European musical alchemists, and the wise men and philosophers of the East. It is a quest, which in itself is the answer, and in the title of the album “The Unfound Sound” suggests no frustration or sadness. Together with the wonderful composers who have turned to the marimba palette, we are looking for this sound in different styles: popular music, instrumental theater alongside with a salutation and a low bow to the traditional Indian ragas, romantic minimalism, and imaginary folklore. I hope that our musical adventures are just beginning.
