Behind the face of Akasha lie two individuals, both determined to share their love of deep, psychedelic music with the world. Between them they play bass, saxophone, guitar and flute Since 2010 the pair have been working together in the Southwest, producing music that combines various worldwide influences, with the results culminating in trippy, down-tempo, psychedelic chilled-out dub. To date, Akasha have worked with Mode-one records releasing the VA Compilation ‘Aeriform’ and‘Yead to give’ EP also with Dubmission records contributing to the VA Compilation ‘The next mission: part one’. Denver-based producer @Dillard joined the Street Ritual fold in 2017 with a deep atmospheric sound that has continued to dazzle and evolve through numerous EP, LP, and single releases over the last three years. With a massive discography of unreleased music, his styling blends elements of dubstep, chill-out, and quintessential Colorado bass for a journey-like listening experience marked by deep valleys of soothing bass, floating instrumentals, and waves of organic and glitch-tinged percussion. 

Sink into Dillard’s luscious soundscapes in our fourth entry to the Street Ritual Sessions mix series. Metaterrestrial  |  mĕt′ə-tə-rĕs′trē-əl  |  noun  

a portmanteau of "metaphysical" & "extraterrestrial" meaning something which originates outside the ordinary three-dimensional space-time framework in which we normally function.

Much like the name, Metaterrestrial uses live performance to take the listener on a sonic journey that defies geological borders & defined genres. Using spoken word, visual & auditory stimuli, MT seeks to drive forward a much larger concept—That there exists much more than we can perceive with our two eyes.
