I didn't get a chance to enter it into the competition but knocked it up anyway for fun.

My remix entry for the Play Me Records remix competition of Nostalgias 'Perfect Lie feat. Frank Moran. I reused an old 'Massive' old skool Reese patch I made ages ago for some other tracks and dropped it in this, as it seemed to work quite well with the feel I was going for. I resampled some of the lead synths and bass sounds in the stem pack, applied a bit of side-chaining and my favourite pitch bending interest to give it the JoelJacobs treatment.

Deep twisted baselines and eerie haunting vocals with long tails. The 3rd set of 16 bars gives it unanticipated 2nd drop.

'Can't Do It Like Me' Beginning with a funky intro complete with sirens, 'Can't Do It Like Me' kicks this release off with a bang. Packed with attitude, lush reverbed snares and a simplistic yet infectious bassline, 'Can't Do It Like Me' has all the hallmarks of a classic dubstep track, but with Methodist's unique twist. When combined with the slick, snappy lyrical flow of Mr. 6, the result is a tune will rock the dancefloor, and have it singing along. 'Can't Do It Like Me (Dexcell Remix)' This remix comes from Dexcell, a Watford based trio with releases on a variety of labels, including Basher's Proximity Recordings. By combining the lyrical performance of Mr. 6 and the signature horns of the original with a stripped back minimal beat, Dexcell produce a wholly different beast but with the same attitude and flair that makes the first track so infectious. Another track which is sure to be found in many a minimal set, this remix by Dexcell puts a stylish spin on the talents of Methodist and Mr. 6.

A liquid roller with a pulsating old school reece to carry the lows. Topped with euphoric bells,some subtle arpeggiated chords and sidechained white noise percussion, the vocals flow through the mids...

Let It Be Me (Clip)

Started producing 15 years ago and stopped 9 years ago. Had some releases on small labels and some BBC R1 airplay. I've recently re-found my love for it in 2023, and now continue to make the Drum and Bass style that I love.
