My friend Jeff, who is never short of good ideas, came up with this one. 
A typical feline jazz piece.

MEMORY HUNTER

This is actually a Louie Simon piece (w/Mike Brosco). The song started as a percussion piece composed by Louie with ambient guitars added later. Louie plays Michael Thiele tongue drums on this piece.   

Louie says "My late cat, Marcel, loved the sound of these drums and would come running from anywhere he was in the house when he heard me playing them. He would rub my legs and purr as I stood and played."

This song is dedicated to Marcel

This time it's not a realtime soundscape. This one is a minimalistic fusion of different sound textures. Melodic line and harmony was played on Godin Solidac guitar equipped with Roland GK-2A and plugged into Roland VG-88.

Well, I'm very excited to share this with you !
This track is so special. Made for the Solstice, entirely built with the sounds of archive videos i made for my very good friends "Les Leuki", an historical re-enactment group of people gathered to explain how the Celts lived and died in the ancient ages. Except for the Taïko drum and a discrete drone, everything has been recorded live during their shows in France and Germany. I would like to dedicate this track to them ! TEUTATIS ! ;)

Chiron and jason

When I lived right outside Kansas City, I would often take the dog for an evening walk to the playground of Belinder Elementary School, two blocks from home. I'd let Topsy run free and, sometimes, I'd sit on the grassy slope below the gymnasium and play my banjo. This is a tune I came up with on a warm summer night. I'm sure it's just bits and pieces of other tunes, but don't they all sound alike anyway? ;-)

The banjo is tuned low (f-Bb-F-Bb-C) and strung with heavier-than-usual strings. I'm enjoying the sound of it these days.
