ONNO is back with his own unique brand of no frills techno with two new cuts that get remixed to perfection by Martin Landsky.

ONNO has been a big presence in Ibiza and the rest of the European club circuit over the past few years, playing places like Ants at Ushuaia on the reg. His DJ skill, as evidenced at places like Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, is also carried over into the studio, where he cooks up heavyweight house tracks full of funk. He has done so on labels like ViVA, Saved and Moon Harbour and has become known for his bass heavy blend of house and techno.

First up, Some Mo is a gritty, dubbed out roller with seriously weighty kicks. A clipped vocal gets heavy filter treatment and moves about in the mix as industrial chords swell louder and louder. It’s a really slow burning banger. PokerFlat regular and long time production hero Martin Landsky of classics like ‘1000 Miles’ remixes with a more house focused drum line and more fluid chord progressions. The smooth, rolling track that results is a real groover.

Rounding out the top package is another hugely textured, lo fi dub techno roller with monstrous rubber kicks, stiff and icy hi hats and swelling chords. “Stabbing Sally’ kicks like a mule after a teasing start and really has a fine sense of seeing in its bones.

This is a perfectly fun and functional club EP that is sure to find many fans in the underground.

Fresh from their huge remix of Florian Kruse &amp; Hendrik Burkhard on Noir Music, Pleasurekraft steam into 2016 with a huge two-track debut on Nicole Moudaber&#8217;s MOOD. 
With MOOD releases featuring heavily in the US/Swedish duo&#8217;s sets and Pleasurekraft bombs ignited by Nicole most weekends, it was only a matter of time before a release of this magnitude hit us&#8230; And it&#8217;s a match made in rolling techno heaven. 
&#8216;Defiler&#8217; is wonderfully wrong from the off; even the title suggests the sleaziest, slinkiest, sweatiest late night sessions. By the time the vocal sample murmurs its intent over a slippery, spacious, star-gazing bassline, we&#8217;re locked. Cue tight textures of percussion - rollers and shakers a go-go - it&#8217;s a heads down hypnosis session until sun-up with all the right dynamic elements to keep us twisting. 
&#8216;There Is No Safe Word&#8217; takes us deeper into Pleasurekraft&#8217;s devilish playground. A thunderous, unrelenting drum arrangement takes the lead here with demonic down-pitched vocal textures and vortex shredding swoops and FX adding colour, character and suspense before a precision build-up proceeds to tear a new hole in the spacetime continuum. Just weeks into 2016 and already MOOD and Pleasurekraft have delivered something to the last the whole year through. Sleeping on this is impossible.

Paris local Marcelo Cura partners up with Origins of Time to create a breathtaking EP aptly titled ‘Dunes’. The title track lays down a bumpy path of hardened kicks and snappy percussion, creating a rolling energy as the pads rise and the soul of the track is teased and eventually revealed. Next the collaborators bring us ‘Ouhou’. This one follows the same framework as laid out by ‘Dunes’, and rightly so. A firm kick with a flow against sharp percussives maintains a constant pressure as the track opens. ‘Ouhou’ then plays its strings elegantly against the desert soundscape, bringing the track to life and giving the EP a spirited energy. Every raver has their sunrise story. It usually takes place around 6 AM, after dancing all night, when the first rays of light usher in a new musical energy, something wild and magical. It’s the kind of moment people romanticize for years, even decades after. Such was the desired effect of Luzon’s 2002 classic Manila Sunrise. The tune contains a raw, tribal energy that few others can claim. Drawing influence from the Goa scene, it’s twirling pads and majestic vocal made it an instant progressive house staple that redefined the genre. We’re proud to bring back this insatiable classic for our fifteenth Yoshitoshi Classic remix pack, with contributions from three of today’s finest producers — label owner Sharam, Swiss studio ace Khainz, and New York techno legend Boris.

Sharam’s remix adds some modern flare to the original's progressive nature. He injects some dark, drum n’ bass-inspired sounds, a catchy new melody, and a beautiful, pad-and-vocal driven breakdown that transports listeners and club-goers to another dimension. Khainz makes his Yoshitoshi debut with a remix that boasts a myriad of stabs, effects, and other synth wizardry over a driving, tech house groove. His monstrous builds give away to exhilarating, unapologetic release. Finally, Boris transforms the track into a percussion-driven monstrosity that smacks of the classic New York 90's techno sound. The mix itself is built around banging drums and heavy bass, while the original’s delicate vocal contrasts the brutal nature of his remix, creating a powerful sonic dichotomy. As a bonus, Canada’s Justin James and Spain’s Fer BR deliver two tasty remixes. This release is scheduled on March 26th.

Alex Molina aka The Deals and Rafa Siles alias Siles are two figures of the new Spanish electronic scene, which they are proud to represent. Indissociable from Barcelona, these two close friends tirelessly stir up the nights of the Catalan capital thanks to their residences at the famous InPut for The Deals and Barraca for Siles, which already gave them the opportunities to play alongside such great names as Chris Liebing, Loco Dice, Paco Osuna, Alan Fitzpatrick, Sam Paganini and many more. Thanks to a growing reputation, Alex was able to release his productions on labels such as Deeperfect, Waveform or SCI+TEC, while his sidekick could enter refused., Oneself., Stickrecordings and SCI+TEC too. The inseparable men express a sincere respect and a genuine mutual admiration: “I met Rafa four or five years ago. Since then, our friendship has constantly grown and today I can say that he is one of the best people I’ve met in the music industry, and the one with I speak more everyday,” Alex says.
In this first four-handed petrified EP, The Deals and Siles sign two enigmatic tracks worn by a dark and catchy beat, with almost robotic melodies drawn to the oscilloscope for Broken Bass, and more pressurized sounds for Backstage. “We started this artistic collaboration about one year ago. We advanced in small touches while keeping each one’s style, until getting these two tracks. Alex and I always try to make dark and minimalist sounds. We have a fairly similar vision of what we like to produce, and we constantly share our ideas to get the point of view of each other. So, working together just made sense,” Rafa says. “These two tracks bring together many elements that we like to put forward in our DJ sets: they are dark and mental while having beautiful melodic parts. The inspiration came very naturally,” he adds.
 
The Deals soon back to France?
 
In addition to these two tracks, Fer BR and Justin James enrich this EP with two brilliant remixes exploring the different sonic facets of the original mixes. The Spaniard offers a very minimal and groovy Broken Bass, while the Canadian delivers a version of Backstage to be listened in the middle of the night and preferably on a solid sound system. “Justin James is a DJ and producer I’ve always admired for his personal style. I was able to release an EP on his label refused. As for Fer BR, I played with him and we shared a lot together. He is a very good friend and a great producer.

Amsterdam’s Robin Fett is making all of the right moves in all of the right places and brings his magic back to Loot Recordings for his third release that includes classy remixes by Sascha Dive and Markus Mehta.

The first cut ‘Studio Talk’ emanates pure energy with crisp, punchy drums all wrapped around a thick, warm bass line. The tough groove chugs along, giving it necessary boom for the clubs, and is layered with trippy conversation and moments of smashing sounds that lends the right amount of chaos to make it stand out.

Sascha Dive, one of Germany’s purveyors of all things deep, also returns to the label for a mesmerizing eight minutes of deeper house grooves. His interpretation is structured with stuttering, warm key hits and rising synths where repetition is the trick that creates the magic.

Teaming up with Timothy, Fett’s ‘Alias’ is a stripped back affair of techier house with a pounding rhythm and energetic arrangement of builds and breaks. On remix duty is Munich’s maestro Markus Mehta, who turns in a choppy, modular version that’s an electronic soul symphony. Loaded with playful stabs and a lock tight arrangement of hats and drums, this one is for the robots on the dance floor.
