| From the Middle East to Central America and Russia, a trio of artists blend their talents. Out of the darkness and into the light, Golan Zocher, Gux Jimenez and Mango build a stratified sonic masterpiece from “Only a Shadow”. Subtle organic layers amble through a forest of percussive saplings that sit beneath a towering beat and subterranean groove. Emerging in the dappled moonlit shadows, evocative motifs create an eerie atmosphere before a bassline force springs from the undergrowth and into the open, prowling beneath luscious melody.

Harnessing familiar energies from the darkness, Dowden hypnotises with a new poise and grace. “Only a Shadow” forms in the twilight as white noise crashes in pulsating waves. A mesmerising bassline hits the Toronto streets where it forges a path through pinpricks of melodic light and a seething, rolling rhythmic groove. A pioneering sonic architecture is forged from exquisite St Petersburg and Sao Paulo landscapes. Since the beginning of Lost & Found, Guy J wanted to make every release on his platform special. This attitude kept the label's reputation as one of the global leaders in underground club music. It is impossible to predict the label's next move, but it is likely to be outstanding. That's what the new release is all about! X-Press 2 is the legendary award-winning UK duo with rock-solid status. Numerous hits and classics they have produced made them both critically acclaimed and beloved by international audiences. One of those classics is AC/DC! The single has been delivering excitement on the dance floors since the beginning of the century, and it was about time to come up with an equally exciting update. Guy J managed to keep all the recognizable elements of the original track while putting his apparent sound signature present. It is one of those remixes where the involvement of the remixer brings exponential improvement, making it larger than life. The other part of this two-track release is no less impressive! Future is a masterpiece by Halo Varga from the year 2000. It was probably impossible to see the longevity of this piece of music while making the track. However, over two decades later, this classic is still relevant, especially with Guy J's hands on it.

'Already an iconic figure in the underground dance fraternity, Dmitry Molosh now takes another leap forward with the creation of his Proportion record label. Created as vehicle to showcase the Belarusian’s extraordinary talent alongside an array of high-profile and rising names, Proportion launches with an eponymously titled EP with an original track from Dmitry himself plus a remix from Finnish legend, Cid Inc.

Dmitry Molosh has presided over a stellar career path. Rising rapidly to global prominence from his Belarus home, Dmitry has witnessed a steep upwards trajectory where his music has reached out across nation boundaries, engaging listeners with a distinctive, powerful and forward-thinking sound. Over 500 production credits can thus be credited to the Dmitry Molosh name as he continues to find his musical talents in considerable demand. Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Gai Barone’s Afterglow, Nick Warren’s Hope and Cid Inc.’s Replug have all showcased the Belarusian’s distinctive sound, while US leviathan Proton Music has also featured an array of original and remix material. Supported by the DJ glitterati that include Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Khen, alongside the celebrated label heads, Dmitry Molosh now opens his account on Proportion.

The title track of the same name is a stunning affair. Redolent in the trademark characteristics that have made him such a sought-after producer, a chest-thumping kick anchors a glorious, head-shaking bass groove and woodblock percussion. Ticking hi-hats add to the collage as a beautifully imagined synth motif filters its way across the 8-minute piece. A further bassline adds weight and dynamism before a stripped back breakdown creates a gateway for a rousing crescendo of white-noise and pitched effects. These then pave the way for the sultry bassline cadence and synth line so prominent in the early stages, to work their magic once more in the second half.

Cid Inc. require little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A legendary figure for two decades, the Finnish star has been responsible for entertaining audiences around the world with his immaculately crafted DJ sets while creating some the finest moments in modern electronic music history. Seeing his work featured on legion luminary imprints that includes the likes Lost & Found, Einmusika JEE Productions and Sudbeat Music, the latter saw Dmitry Molosh & Cid Inc. join forces on August 2021’s “Impending Storm” to devastating effect. Cid Inc.’s own Replug label has also been a potent vehicle for his own music while furthering the musical careers of a plethora of other artists who have gone on to become dominant forces in the global dance music arena.

An esteemed music engineer and renowned producer, the Cid Inc. remix of “Proportion” is characterised by an intricate and dynamic percussive groove that propels the track forward. Accompanied by a hypnotic bassline sequence and similarly mesmerising arpeggio, melodic elements for the original ripple to the fore in a sublime atmospheric collage. Smooth pads and white-noise flourishes build before falling away to a spine-tingling drop, as the rhythmic and bassline foundation provide a club-friendly closing section.'

HAFT, the Iranian duo of Sam Nasehi and Amir Subb, are known for fusing hypnotic synths, deep- rooted pads, and intricate percussion into a sound that bridges traditional textures with modern progressive house. Their debut three-track EP on Balance Music delivers a journey filled with psychedelic undercurrents and shimmering atmospheres that is crafted equally for the dance floor and for deep listening.

The brooding ‘Driftor’ is designed to nudge any DJ set in the right direction. An off-beat bass drives the engine, allowing you to comfortably sit in the pocket of its inviting narrative. Steely drums and percussion form a cohesive frame, while a bag of tasteful effects, samples, and stabs fill the remaining spaces. Once the breakdown hits, in all its subtlety, you know you’re in the hands of professionals. This is essential prog, designed for any occasion.

There is an undercurrent of psychedelia running through ‘Myntal’, hypnotic and consuming. Low- end frequencies double as notes, merging with the bass to create a dizzying effect. Its main-room identity, however, is confirmed by drums that strut forward with propulsive energy. It all points towards a seductive breakdown, its layering teasing a drop that confirms it: this is designed for floors ready to ignite.

Filled with depth, ‘Prism’ shimmers and shakes as synths and stabs perpetually morph. The result is a continuous stream of sonic moments to lose yourself in. Thankfully, the dense bassline and drums bring you back from the edge of hypnosis, filling the space with an elastic energy as buoyant as a trampoline. Then comes the breakdown: bells dissolve into minor-key haze, half beautiful, half surreal: an inviting dream-logic that is hard to deny.

Deeperfect answered the call, and is now providing us with "Music Power Remixes": a summer night dream made of two new beautiful interpretations to the expression. The first, by Matteo Gatti, is a melancholic piece of minimalism, shaped in the spirit of Deeperfect: each and every instrument and sample carefully picked and applied. The second, a pounding Techno piece, designed for peak time hours in a roaring dancefloor, not allowing a moment of relief, stating this, is the power of music.

Cid Inc's 2016 'State of Everything' EP marked a welcome return to his critically acclaimed Replug Records imprint. While focusing on material for Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, it ended what was a two year hiatus from original projects on his home label. Following a nomination as Beatport's best progressive house artist for 2016, the new year began in spectacular fashion with a remix of 'Pan-O-Rama' by Roger Martinez, also coming courtesy of Replug Records. Delightfully driving and devilishly hypnotic the rework sits as the Finnish artist's lone production of the year. As Cid Inc. has continued to travel the globe pushing his progressive minded sound, anticipation has grown for his first original project of 2017. Once again the stars have aligned for a return to Replug as he now presents his latest artist showcase entitled 'Shifter'.

While distinctive in both cadence and design the Cid Inc sound is ever-evolving, proving his musical talent knows no boundaries. Played out over four stylistically diverse compositions the collection begins with the peak time opus and title cut 'Shifter'. Electrically charged with thumping kicks and rising rhythmic structures it's energetic intensity swarms over a four minute first act. As the beats fade into the main break buzzing synths and spine tingling pads converge for a minute of unadulterated bliss, before getting washed away into a killer drop. 

Emotive and cinematic in equal measure, the fluid energy continues with 'Wanderer'. It's delicate framework is inspired, elusive yet charming, mesmerizing with each successive loop as percussive details fill in the storyboard. Melancholic chords rise into the second act as the groove remains locked, before the synth euphoria gets engulfed by a static wave and it's bubbly effervesce carries you home. 

Taking the journey into more emotive territory 'Arcane Thoughts' entices both the heart and mind. Exceptionally developed groove aesthetics make for a pulsating framework while Cid Inc's musical imagination takes you on an expressive ride. Vivid melodies invite you into this impassioned beauty which eases wonderfully into the EP's 

Every Cid Inc project is met with much anticipation and 'Shifter' proves to be his most creative and stylistically diverse EP to date. Highly sought after and just in time for the summer festival season, the much loved artist has perhaps raised the bar yet again.

On the heels of our "American Hustle" EP - we are back with our boys Jaceo & Vedic - this time on Bitten Records with our "313 (Detroit Calling)" EP.  Named after the city's area code - lyrically the track is an homage to the city's resilience in the face of constant hardships - to give birth to a musical genre and movement that has touched the lives of millions around the world. 

The flip side - "212" is not actually named after New York City's dialing code as one might suspect - but is rather the temperature (in fahrenheit) that water turns from a liquid into a gas (pretty fucking hot).  The words - courtesy of the one and only Ray Winstone - from the incredible film "Sexy Beast" - underscore that hot feeling we've all experienced in our favorite neighborhood 'sweat on the walls' nightclub. Ok so maybe it wasn't 212 fahrenheit in the club - but you get the point!
