2021 - Illumination White Party Promo:

What a crazy couple of years! As we all try to deal with this 'new way' of living, the stark reality is that the world has changed and disrupted life as we know it forever. For me, this means travelling to Australia in 2021 is unfortunately a no-go. It was to be a special trip, as not only would I get to catch up with my close friends and family (is also my father's 80 birthday and new family member additions to meet), but I would also have had the pleasure to DJ at at this years planned White Party - Illumination. It has always been one of the far north's most exciting parties and when I was living in Australia, I had the joy seeing it develop into an 'absolute must' event on the social calendar.

I am truly gutted as being there this year has been something in development for quite some time now. I'm positive the global situation will improve eventually and when it does, we hope to take a rain-check and give it a right proper knees up!! Fingers crossed the situation in Cairns / Australia at present doesn't interfere with this years event on October 9th. Also, a very Big shout out and love to Dean O'Shannessey & Venus from illumination for your dedication and support to make this happen. We'll get there eventually 🙂

I hope you enjoy the mix - It is a little different and was the concept behind something similar I was planning for at Illumination 2021. It captures some of the harder / darker sounds and genres I've been into these past 25 years while still making it aimed for the dance floor. Available to download in full WAV format for those sonic headz out there 🙂

This years first podcast needed a bit more time than expected, though i guess the time was worth to wait. I got 5 songs of mine in this, 4 of them unreleased and a special live version of Calendula which i originally produced with Microtrauma. Also in here is the premiere of the upcoming main track "Sail" taken from the next Klangwelt release by 1979 and the premiere of We are all Astronauts "This Too Shall Pass". Several Edits and cuts of the other songs included are waiting to unfold to your ears during this journey from listening to club tunes. Emerging from Spain's Golden years in the early 2000s is Sau Poler, an electronic musician and producer from Barcelona, proving an exclusive mix for us here at DHA.

In 2015, the Badalona-born musician toured Amsterdam, New York, Barcelona, Montreal, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg, Mexico, and Calgary. He was invited to play at the Boiler Room Generator show in Barcelona, all the meanwhile remixing Touch Sensitive for the Australian label Future Classic. Since 2013, he has released 3 EPs and an album via Atomnation, and was invited by Sonar Copenhagen & Transmusicales to perform a live set.

There's an argument to be made that Saschienne's well-documented fascination with the unknown bleeds into their mixing technique, looking at how they obviously don't care for genre proficiency. It's quite some trippy stuff they present in this podcast exclusively made for Japanese dance music hub Clubberia, and it comes from all angles, in the most unsuspected ways. Exactly our cup of tea, especially when someone pulls off a stunt like stuffing the no wave hop of ESG, JayDee's timeless classic "Plastic Dreams" and Conrad Schnitzler's electrified ode to socialist propaganda all into one mix. A huge bonus drop comes with Dixon's Remix of Saschienne's very own "Unknown", to be released on the 21st of may as a collaborative 12" from Kompakt and Innervisions.

Well we went trough a journey with our family "Bubbles and Bass" and all what happened seemed unreal. We took off for a special night on this Cobra Spaceship !
