Metroline Episode 45 is finally here. Our guest DJ for our latest Podcast chapter is Spanish producer Bolumar who has released a 4 tracker on the label, his release called Hypnotic Trip EP was out on May 5th and include a remix by Alessio Mereu.
Originating from the beautiful and historic Spanish stronghold of Valencia, Jose Bolumar Molina alias Bolumar, has prominently emerged from the city increasingly vibrant underground music scene as one of its most cherished musicians.
Complimentary to his natural Spanish elegance and charismatic demeanor, Bolumar brings a very unique and infectious sound; something which truly sets him apart from the rest, the combination of which has ignited his ascension to becoming one of Valencia most promising underground tacticians.
Influenced by the likes of Fuse front man Enzo Siragusa, Tsuba boss Kevin Griffiths, and one of Frankfurt hottest exports Vera, to name but a few, Bolumar follows through with a music style very much suited to that of his native city unassuming vibe; minimalistic, deep and techy.
With his career commencing during his impressionable teenage years, Bolumar initially established himself through playing experimental gigs at small-time venues and parties in his hometown. It was through playing such gigs that he developed a real attitude for DJing and a raw passion for electronic music. Gaining early recognition for injecting his infectious melodies and creativity into consistently unforgettable sets, this consecutively led Bolumar to gain a well-deserved residency at one of Valencia most revered underground venues, Miniclub. It was here where Bolumar took-hold of the weekly Thursday night event Klinik Music Club, captivating his clubbers and creating a real lasting impression with his intelligently fused selection of deep, dubby house and minimal tech sounds.
Having firmly established his capabilities behind the turntables, in 2010 Bolumar attentions turned towards production; three years on those efforts have started turning heads well beyond his local realms, with Bolumar music creating a real buzz amongst his industry peers, both across Spain and Europe.

Second round of 'Positive Contributions' from Metroline Limited after the four-track 12" single released in 2018.
For the occasion we more than doubled the output and compiled an uber-tasty little compilation featuring some of the cooler producers who have released with us recently, plus a few new faces.
We are very happy to welcome our long time friend Cesare Vs Disorder with the dark and rolling tech-house number called 'Funilaria' as well as another dude we've known for a ages and that we finally got to release some music with us: Blind Minded. The lush deep grooves of his tune 'Delicate' are pretty special.
Giash is back after his Sen_d_Ingo EP released earlier in the year, with the never-ending tripped-out Romanian house minalimism of 'Tukdam'. We welcome back the two producers behind our latest release, Pheek & Kike Mayor, who deliver some top-notch house again with their "Say A Little Less' while Dhaze returns with the stomping Chicago grooves of 'Don't Stooop'.
We are very chuffed to have Cem G back on the label after a long break since his 'Hot Night EP' released in 2013.
Gabriele Mancino and Thomas A.S. have both collaborated with us in recent times and they deliver once more with some excellent works.
Last but not least...who is Phichi? That's no other than one of our label heads Phiorio and our friend Michi. "Weird Concept' is their first collaboration and it's well rounded deep house number with a broken beat, lush pads and some quirky spoken word.

Originating from the island of Corfu in Greece Achilleas Dimitracopoulos aka Fog has been a dj since the late 90s. Influenced by house, techno and all sounds in between it was only natural that he would eventually get involved with the art of production, resulting to an impressive active discography of electronic music since 2005.
We have been fans of Fog's music for a long time over at Metroline Limited and we are very happy to finally put out a follow up to his first Ep for the label, Diggler's Romance from 2011.
The Ep opening track is the lush deep number called Unbalanced. This dubby deep house work is music to get lost to, with its big reverberated whooshes, cavernous sub bass and tripped-out atmospheres.
Depth 1 is one of the peak time choices out of the five-track package by Fog. This is pure driving tech-house at the very best best with plenty of groove.
Depth 2 is a trip into French filtered house territory while Atlas Zero One is our peak time weapon number 2. Wicked drum programming plus stabs and layered synth action to produce a serious dancefloor burner.
Balanced takes us back to the land of deepness but with the addition of a huge deal of groove and infectious pulsating bass.

01 - Phiorio - No Surrey

Phiorio is back on Metroline with some new material after his last release dating 2018, teh Sharp And Open EP. It's also our release number 99...nearly three digits!
Sketches is a collection of tracks which weren't originally going to be part of the same release but, as the title suggests, are sketches that the artist worked on at different times, initially for different projects, but that in the end found a way to be collected together somehow.
The four original tracks are quite different in style and they range from the trippy jacking deep house of No Surrey to the dark and hypnothic minimal techno of Breaking Point.
Less Than One and Less Than Two were originally conceived as one-minute loops for our friend and video maker Neubarton's AV project 'Less Than One' and they were later arranged into full-length tracks.
The two tracks are a bit of a departure in sound from what we normally get from Phiorio and are foreys into tougher and melodic techno (One) and minalistic Raster-style bleepy electro (Two).
Our friend and Metroline's favourite, Fog, rounds up the EP in style with his club-friendly remix of Less Than One which takes the track into peak time house territory adding a huge bass and kick and an extra dj-friendly dimension.

East End Dubs delivers a surgical strike on this Metroline 4-track release. Weighty b-lines, and sharp perc work is the order of the day here.
Summa Dis hits us with a top drawer Chi Town baseline, with pads that call out like Muezzins in the night and taught atmospheric strings. The result is a clean hit of Great Lakes techno. Highly recommended.
Following right behind, title track Argo brings together bruising on-beat bass hits, and skittish perch elements that cut like a razor. Clever EQ-riding, and some sexy french vox give the track depth, but this is one for the eyes-down crew.
On the flip, Snilloc takes remixing duties on Summa Dis, twisting the original into a track pounder, that slowly but surely evolves into a full-on siren-laden relentless warehouse stomp.
And finally we end up in the once-fashionable Hoxton. Just like the London neighborhood that inspires the name, the track has a ghostly, nostalgic quality - like an echo of a memory - but one that you can dance to, obviously, thanks to a deep growl of a baseline and lush pads given the full long-release Deepchord-style reverb treatment. Lush.
