Metronome DJ’s are Paul Enamu & Matty Brown…..
Paul’s music background consists of 32 years’ experience,  when he got his first set of Decks for his 18th Birthday, he knew then that there would be no turning back, he would share his passion for House Music with many others in the 90’s the Rave era was upon him, with his set of Soundlab DL-PR1’s, he would stay up all night perfecting his skills.
He used to make mix tapes and sell them in Hot Trax Record Shop in Liverpool, he then gained a few Residencies in Liverpool at The Firehouse, Bonkers & finally at The Hard Dock alongside Mike Knowler & Alan James, with small cameo’s at The 051 & The State, Paul’s career as a DJ had started (so he thought)
In 1998 Paul visited an incredibly special White Island called Ibiza, that was then & this is now Paul is still a regular in Ibiza playing in venues back in the day such as Play 2 & Kanya, but more recently he has been plying his trade at Venue’s such as Itaca Beach Club, Ibiza Rocks Bar & the beautiful Es Paradis, Paul has worked with some great names, with the likes of Judge Jules, Slipmatt, Esquire & the Legend that was Dave Booth.
Matty started playing at the tender age of 15, with his Numark NDX 400 decks, who would of known he would become the skilful talented DJ he is today, with a residency at the age of 18 years old under his belt, he would move onto bigger a better gigs.
At 20 year’s he was travelling up & down the UK as the Resident DJ for Invidia under 18’s Parties, he created a name for himself, he was in demand in his local area, playing at the towns busiest nightclub Chambers to many people unknown but to his hometown this was the place to be, he was sharing the DJ booth with Liverpool Icons such as Deny Dowd & Ian Longo & again not to forget to mention Esquire, more recently he has been supporting Will Sparks.
Now Matty like Paul shares a love & a passion for Ibiza, this is where you can find him most summers, hopefully returning very soon.
The feeling we get from seeing a room full of like minded people Dancing to everything we play for them, to see them smiling & moving across the Dancefloor, to know that you have total control of the crowd, lifting them up, bringing them down, creating euphoria with every note that comes out of those speakers, this is what being a DJ is about & to know they are dancing to your track that you have spent Hours/Days/Weeks/Months perfecting, is somethng close to Ecstasy.
We are influenced by Ibiza, our sounds have the Deep Balearic feel to it, with swishes & Deep undertones, with Funky Kicks & Melodic Synths, followed up with minor key vocals, when you listen to our Produced tracks you will have the feeling of sitting round a pool or in a bar nodding & tapping away, but when you hear us behind the Decks, we will have you bouncing & shuffling all night.
We have been lucky enough to be signed by two fantastic record labels, Open House Records & Ulybug Music run by the legend Jonathan Ulysses, you will find us making Music on a regular basis, but also Playing events in a not so familiar environment as 2020 has had a life change, but this will not stop us becoming who we are.
We are planning our return to Ibiza & releasing new music, 2021 will be the new era of Metronome DJ’s be a part of our journey.
