Chilean artist Magda Rot makes a head-turning debut here with some ice-cold electro rhythms on the Return To Disorder label which is now fast approaching a quarter century of releases. There is no messing with these sounds - they're built on tight, kinetic rhythms with fierce sound designs and stark futurism. 'Triads' is a mix of crisp hits and gurgling synths with dramatic background chords. 'Black Sense' is a slamming cut with a twisted bassline and hammering drum funk and 'Coincidences' brings the chilliness with its frosted lines and cold waves of synth. 'Unusual Theory' shuts down with a far sighted sense of electro-techno doom.

For lucky number 13 of our Nativecast mix series, we are proud present fam from across the pond, EKATA. She is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who’s productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work. 

She has had a very busy year, with releases on Avoidant . Burial Soil . CHP Recordings . Cybersoul . Furatena . Mars Frequency Records . Native Boundaries + Urban Connections with her debut solo E.P due for release on Censor Records before the end of the year.

EKATA is self-described as genre and sound obsessive and has built a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro. 
She mainly steers towards the darker and eerier side of the genre, taking influences from sci-fi films whilst only playing tracks that work together to tell a story. 

EKATA has played at some of the best clubs in the world over the last few years including: TRESOR, FOLD, E1 & KILOMÈTRE25 to name a few. 
In these sets, she never fails to take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections. 
This set is special in particular as she dives deep into the beauty of Electro with a blend of 4x4 and breakbeat encompassing a vast array of erotically robotic textures future glitched out sounds, and hypnotic sequences. Enjoy!

Icelandic electronic musician jadzia has been making waves in the dance music realm with her outstanding production finesse and dedication to cutting-edge sound design. 

Since 2018 she’s been steadily releasing music on various labels across the globe such as Monnom Black, International Chrome and A7A, as well as being an integral part of the Icelandic electro crew Sweaty Records.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future? 

- A new EP is coming out very soon, featuring remixes from artists I really admire. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now? 

- Kosmodod and Volruptus. 

What inspires you now to create music?

- It’s the perfect outlet for me to release all kinds of energy and emotions.

A nice balance between software and hardware gear.

steeped deep in the waters of memory, Privacy (@privacyprivacy) dreams up visions of electro music's past, present and future on his inaugural EP for TRUST. the revered producer (of Klakson and Klasse Wrecks fame, half of Negroni Nails together with Steffi) channels the energy of his genre-busting DJ journeys into four tracks that straddle a set of influences as diverse as discoid techno, west coast electro, and far fiction dubstep in deliriously asynchronous fashion.
