3024: Please describe the mix in a single sentence ?

I thought I’d make a mix in the currently popular yet controversial 140-160bpm range, as there’s some amazing music in this space between techno and jungle that doesn’t revolve around straight kicks, and I think it deserves more attention.

3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

Throughout the years.. well apart from this guy Martyn I’d have to say Andi Baumecker. I don’t know many DJs with such a depth of knowledge across so many genres. His passion for music is relentless and continuously inspiring.

Recently I’ve been really into Polygonia. Brilliant producer and DJ from Munich creating ethereal worlds through sound so convincing you can almost step into them. I went to see her open Berghain last September and it was incredible, like being in a rainforest on acid. 

3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

There’s a new EP coming this summer which will be announced soon, and a few remixes before that, for Jakojako and Hercules & Love Affair (with Mr Baumecker). Otherwise, I’m having fun developing a new live set involving MIDI controlled lights, which I premiered at Superbooth last week.

For my return to Open Ground, I had the idea to record my full set and post it online. Nothing can really describe that club, the sound system, the room accoustics, the way everything has been designed just breathes passion and dedication. Just amazing crew and always a treat to come back there.
The vibe there was absolutely amazing, and I guess you really just have to experience it on the spot to really get what it's like. 

But yea, here's the 3h30 journey we've embarked on there this 8th May, and I hope you enjoy it !

Here, the duo blends celestial, elongated synths with rapid-fire hi-hats and ultra-filtered kick drums, allowing each sound to dissolve into a vast, cavernous space. Born in China and now based in Berlin, she has built a strong community through her party, Dissident, which fosters a deep and open approach to music discovery. A dedicated vinyl digger, her love for rare and unexpected records shines through in her sets. Whether it’s a trippy tribal or prog track with an unusual structure or a punchy house tune with an off-kilter sound effect, she’s always searching for tracks with that extra spark.

Made specially for our BCCO x Überkikz takeover for International Women's Day, this is one of her first techno mixes, spanning both old and new tracks she’s been playing over the past year. Recorded live at home on two turntables, two CDJs, and an A&H96 mixer, the set captures the hypnotic yet energetic vibes she’s absorbed from Berlin’s dancefloors. Enjoy the ride!
