Here is our MEHURA presentation for this year's Heiva I Tokyo. I am so proud of these girls and everything that they contribute to our group TAVAKE REREATA. 

Our MEHURA celebrates, “LA BELLE EPOQUE DE TAHITI”. Our medley captures the music and lyrics from some of the most influential Tahitian artists of all time interpreted by our RA’ATIRA PUPU, Mevina Liufau.

The first songs, KIAKU & TAGATA HURUHURU are reminiscent of the queen of PA’UMOTU MUSIC, EMMA MARITERAGI.

Next we bring back the style of yesteryear with the music of GABILOU & THE BAREFOOT BOYS. We sway to the Tahitian Waltz with the songs, KUA TUPU O TE TATARAHAPA (rarotongan) and TE TAVAKE TE MANU.
