'Beyond Placebo' is a new album Written, Produced, Recorded, Arranged, Performed & distributed by FLAY in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Currently exporting during riots, the sound represents home well.
Aware of a digital hyper pop wave of recent years combing with a stylistic gritty visual aesthetic, I reference artists like 100 gets, brockhampton, Tyler the creator & Childish Gambino. Aswell as visual artists like mowalola. 
3 years into my dabbling with music on my computer, starting from scratch I am ultimately so proud of what I'm capable of and this album is proof of my skill level. Inevitable room for growth but this sound is so contemporary I wouldn't ever get to make these songs with more music theory knowledge...  part of their brilliance comes from the atomisation tools available to our contemporaries that drive the sound of popular bedroom music.
This album paints the picture of a euphoric adventure through nostalgia that should have been experienced but was erased due to the pandemic. I hope that this album is the soundtrack to follow adventures for individuals this summer.
