We at MFR are happy to announce that Retrosynths has a new EP dropping entitled ´Everybody Dance´ ready for the masses to purchase on 2nd May 2014. The 25 minute long EP consists of four tracks, with guest production? from Jason Jules.  The four tracks vary from feel-good grooves hinting soul and disco to lighter spacier and more colourful melodies bringing out Retrosynths dedication to house music.
Kicking off the EP with Everybody Dance, Retrosynths intertwines the UK house scene with samples from the classic ‘Everybody Dance Now’ by C&C Music Factory, creating a super-intense sugar-rush of funk, soul and house. Focusing on making the track structure simple yet not too generic, Retrosynths combines, novel drums, tingly hi hats, high-pitched synths and resonating vocal samples giving this one bags of dance floor potential.
Moving further into the EP, the second track Restless provides more of a house and dance feel compared to the previous soul inspired track. Continuing with the theme of sampled and chopped vocals, this funky track would be perfect with some soft female vocals none the less Retrosynths build-up of this track provides a reliable source of kick, bass and claps  to get down to all in one track.
 Falling In Love featuring Jason Jules is a seven minute excursion by the producer. Straight away you are hit with a light drum pattern which layers into beds of synths, claps and hollow basslines. With some sounds whispering similarities to Wiley’s ‘Wearing my Rolex’, this is an addictive piece of music which can pass as electo pop minus any bad boy MCing.  
 Closing the EP with Express, Retrosynths leaves his mark with what he describes as “true house music”.  In this track, you will hear that the 27 year old producer delivers an exquisite collection of delicate melodies and glowing atmospherics, perfect for any VIP Bar or hotel lobby. Retrosynths gives a true house experience with his Everybody Dance EP which is 100% to be applauded and available to purchase from 2nd May 2014

SOTU Recordings releases this Tech mix from Truce as a forthcoming single that also features the original mix and instrumentals.
House and culture as Truce describes this one, featuring the legendary vocals of Roots artist Kenny Knots. This one is a monster of a tech remix that is already highly requested destroying dance floors. Truce first met Kenny at his studio 2008 and production never looked back. Now on the House works it was time to introduce a teacher and mentor to his new found world!!!! And we do appreciate it!! An absolute Club Destroyer!!!

House DJ and producer Anticx unites with London dance based label MFR Records to release the Dig Dis EP. The 18 minute long EP starts with Dig Dis; an upbeat and dance floor orientated track with enough funk to keep you moving throughout the night. The bouncy track makes good use of unflinching percussion, sharp hi hats and resonating vocal samples. Anticx provides a well composed dance floor track with Dig Dis and provides enough warmth in it to be able to listen to in less busy environments.

Anticx delivers the next track Mirage with some more dance floor ready sounds. With a more of a vintage feel this time, Mirage is crammed with enough oomph to keep you focused on the music all night. With the integration of a crisp kick, barely there vocals and a shallow bass line there are plenty of layers of this track to be explored.

The Dig Dis EP ends with the Retrosynths Remix of Dig Dis. Retrosynths contribution starts off more relaxed to what becomes a steamy crescendo of persistent hi hats, stuttering drums and almost silent piano keys. This leaves Anticx with a charming body of work suitable for any major music lover and house raver, creating a dance experience not to be missed out on.

Meet Walkr, the dynamic DJ and producer pushing the boundaries of the UK dance scene. As Warriors celebrates its fifth season at Sankeys Ibiza, residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody mix a double album composed of entirely exclusive tracks.

Returning to Sundays at the Playa D’en Bossa club, the party series recently announced their summer lineups spanning the likes of Groove Armada, Hot Since 82, Eats Everything, Skream, Huxley and VIVa founder Steve Lawler. Throughout the 2016 season residents Mark Jenkyns and Leftwing & Kody will be regular fixtures at the events, which is why VIVa have tapped them up to craft two mixes exemplary of Warriors’ distinct musical aesthetic.

Turning heads ever since his debut on Hot Creations four years ago, Mark Jenkyns has since followed up with appearances on Rinse, Dogmatik, Leftroom, Resonance and Crosstown Rebels, not to mention collaborating with Inxec as 12 Stories with a release on VIVa MUSiC last year. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody have been making waves since emerging in 2012, releasing on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Hot Creations and MadTech when not pioneering their own Lost Records imprint.

Jenkyns’ mix initiates with a percussive production from Leftroom founder Matt Tolfrey before erupting into lively material from names such as Resonance Records founder Max Chapman, Kreature and Tom Budden until a crunchy cut from Josh Butler concludes proceedings. Meanwhile, Leftwing & Kody’s tracklist sees the likes of Jey Kurmis, Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi, Hauswerks & Anek, Cera Alba and ONNO, not to mention fast-rising newcomers Solardo.
