To many it seemed like the Edgewood Don had abandoned his burgeoning rap career. Alley Boy, the flagship artist of Duct Tape Entertainment has had the respect of his peers ever since his debut. As life imitates art or however the saying goes, Alley Boy has had to deal with the consequences and repercussions of actually rapping what he's living (versus new age gimmicks). The result has been an underpromoted catalog of heat very few artists can match. What Alley Boy lacks in mainstream popularity, he makes up for in respect. Both on the treacherous streets of Atlanta's underbelly, and in the messy music industry, whose politics Alley Boy despises. Yet here he is: long time OG & made man. Co-founder of Duct Tape Ent, and as he factually claims, "poppin in his city before Meech". Alley Boy is part of an elite breed of husters able to survive the best and worst years of Atlanta, and still be here to speak on it. Speak he does on his second release of the year. A slick tongued Alley Boy shared his perspective on February's "The Interview". He returns with Edgewood brother VL Deck, flexing his newly purchased Mercedes G Wagon, the iced out Duct Tape piece, and all the other accessories a true star should have. Many will say that Alley Boy is back. But he actually never left. You just wasn't in the streets to know that the Don has been holding it down like always. yungcripgothitz produces the banger, while azae keeps the visuals crisp. Alley Boy has been quietly churning out bangers this year. His latest features Edgewood upstart & street favorite Don Ace. 

Atlanta producer Gutta Hitz provides the hard-hitting soundtrack as Alley & Don clarify where they stand as men. 

No need for co-signs & fake n*ggaz tryna vouch wit the same mouth they dis with!  As always Alley Boy confronts the issue directly & aggressively: "Where I'm from n*ggaz slangin poles for it/some lame shit, niggaz gettin exposed for it/Niggaz aint really real n*ggaz changin over for it - but I'm havin blessings over blessings I'm overboard!" Discernment & seeing people's intentions have been a theme in every Alley Boy release, especially the poignant Nigganatti & "Gift of Discernment". Hardly ever recognized for his lyricism or storytelling ability, its good to Alley still releasing the music his fanbase loves from him.

When Alley Boy  passes the mic to the fresh-faced Don Ace, the rest of the picture gets painted in the same melodic fashion as the young don spits:  "Had to run me up a check, hitting licks we known for it/Ya know I'm coming out the trenches I ain't rocking Tom Ford/Now a n*gga lit I'm buyin shit I couldn't afford/I tote a 4-5 I ain't goin back n forth"  - which is a slick double entendre referencing his breakout song "4-5" & the Drake co-sign that came with it. Acknowledging the benefit - while admitting it didn't change his life enough to keep him out the zone 6 trenches.
