Following on from the release of his Beacon of Light EP and then his sublime album Evergreen, which promptly and quite rightfully sold out and is due a re-issue in August, @Crackazat is back with the 'Everybody Talks About It' EP on @freerangerecords. The EP features two tracks from the album, the title track 'Everybody Talks About It' and I'm Easy in both their original forms and as remixed by Cody Currie and Crackazat respectively.

Our premier today is Crackazat's Mana's Dub of I'm Easy which he has turned into a live soul-edged houser, a true timeless classic in every sense of the word with the bass brought to the forefornt, as well as looped up heavy on the echo vocal stabs. Deep pads give it a warm otherworldly feel which pitches the track somewhere between classic Soulfuric dubs and Pepe Bradock's Deep Burnt.

Having released the Human Beings album last year, Vogel invites a stellar cast to come and remix several tracks with predictably fantastic results. NY*AK enlists the honey-coated Rhodes skills of Mark Hand on their version of "Human Being", and it's an absolute joy to listen to. Meanwhile SoulPhiction gets into an equally heart-warming groove when he tackles "Always Isn't Only". Soul Clap meanwhile bring a little more party functionality to "Moonchild" before Simba offers up a very different, low-slung and laid back version.

Gin Tonic Orchestra, a brand new band out of St. Etienne (France), deliver the second release on Mother Tongue records.

The brainchild of keyboard player and producer Victor Dijoud - also known as Kaffe Crème - and drummer Leo Puccio, alongside multiple collaborators both in their studio and stage incarnations, Gin Tonic Orchestra is a collective of young talents, gathering their musical inspiration from future jazz, broken beat and latin vibes.

The Stefania EP - a tribute to their native city - is the band’s debut recording showcasing compositions such as “Hands On The Drums”, a driven yet subtle soulful track coloured with jazzy cymbals and lush harmonies and “Get A Umbaye”, where Afro-latin grooves are juxtaposed against elements of funk and ethereal flute solos, reminiscent of the London and New York acid jazz era.

UK legendary keyboard player and producer Kaidi Tatham appears on track two of side A with a stunning remix of “Hands On The Drums” mixed by none other than Eric Lau, giving the track a new life with a heavy broken beat feel, filled with syncopated riffs and intricate synth solos.
