Growing up in Cali (Colombia) Angaro developed a passion for collecting and sharing music, with salsa being a strong influence from an early age. After relocating to Berlin in 2001, Angaro has been deeply involved in the city's renowned club and festival culture, absorbing its diverse musical trends. As a key figure in the founding of Nie Wieder Schlafen, Angaro plays a crucial role in orchestrating and managing the brand's various events.

As a refined selector, Angaro enriches parties with his energetic sets that encompass a range of deep, afro, and tech-house beats. His natural aptitude for reading the audience enables him to craft dynamic performances that guide the crowd through a myriad of groovy, melodious peaks. He has performed at well-known clubs in Berlin such as Burg Schnabel, Anita Berber, KitKat, Mensch Meier, Alte Münze, and The Yard, as well as in clubs in cities like Lausanne, Tübingen, Medellín, Cali, and Cartagena. Additionally, he has showcased his talents at events like CSD Berlin, Garbicz, and Burning Man.

Angaro enjoys the opportunity to play extended sets and after hour parties, where he can explore eclectic mixes that span various electronic music genres, including latin-tech, indie-dance, house, disco, and melodic techno.

For the 14th Pathways we welcome Matt Drake.

Drawing inspiration from the astral arpeggios of 70s Krautrock, ragged Balearic vagabond synth pop of the 80s and proto-rave machine rhythms of the 90s he has dedicated his life to music. 

Being a core part of New Zealand's underground dance music scene since the early 90s - touring clubs, festivals and events across the land, a founding member of Nurture Recordings, running Crucial Records on Auckland's High Street, hosting the decade long Slipstream radio on George FM, running club nights such as Beatstreet, and is a creative director at Lo-Fi Productions who have been creating epic boutique music experiences with the very best house and techno artists from Aotearoa and from across the globe.

007 of our series dives into the mind of Jarry, a Vancouver BC based electronic music beacon who has dabbled in house and all things dance for many years. 

We first met Jarry a few New Years Eve ago and completely appreciated his love for his Allen & Heath Zone 96, which we mixed tunes on into the early morning. Truly a great soul and talented mix tape virtuoso, we knew we had to have him on the series just in time for the changing of the season from Summer to Fall.


"When I recorded this mix, I imagined myself taking over the decks in a small room during the later hours of the night (or early hours of the morning .. however you choose to see it). It’s a time that can sound like anything - dark, trippy, minimal, euphoric, atmospheric, etc. To me, there’s only one rule for these slots: play interesting music. Something for the curious ears, sensitive minds, and floating bodies that have made it this far into the night.

I played this as a closing set to the summer, spanning between quirky, minimal, and atmospheric sounds. Best enjoyed with good headphones and joint."
