Disco and Jazz-Funk producer Maryag jumps back aboard The Disco Express with his latest incarnation 'Joy Frequency'. Channeling the spirit of ‘70s disco and jazz-funk while maintaining the precision and drive of modern dance music, his latest project, 'Joy Frequency EP', takes that ethos further, offering four expertly crafted tracks designed for dance floors worldwide.

Lead track 'I Will Dance' sets the tone for the EP with pulsating bass lines, shimmering keys, and tight, rolling percussion. A hypnotic groove underpins the track, while subtle brass stabs and synth flourishes add texture. The arrangement evolves organically, balancing deep funk sensibilities with forward-thinking production.

Following suit is FIFA World Cup inspired 'Mundial'. An anthemic fusion of global influences, Brazilian percussion, Afrobeat-inspired rhythms, and funk-driven basslines, its syncopated groove builds momentum, while layered horns and electric piano riffs push the track into peak-time territory. The result is a percussive, high-energy jam built for the Summer day time joy.

Sleek, driving, and packed with tension, 'Gimme Love' leans into Maryag’s poppier side. A rich, full-bodied bass line anchors the track between vocoded hooks, delayed guitars and warm pads.The track a oozes a late-night, neon-lit aesthetic, making it equally suited for club play and home listening.

Closing out the EP, '296' is a raw, groove-heavy instrumental driven by live musicianship. A locked-in rhythm section lays the foundation for expansive solos, with saxophone and trumpet leads trading off over deep, rolling bass. The track carries a distinct live energy, capturing the spontaneity and warmth of a jam session while remaining tightly structured for the dance floor.

Toy Tonics ITALOMANIA Vol. 3  is a compilation dedicated to NEW ITALIAN DISCO. (Not Italo Disco.)  14 young contemporary Italian producers made new organic disco, indie dance, pop house tracks with Italian vocals.

Fresh dance music by Italian artists Paul Older, Riva Starr, Valentino Vivace, Sam Ruffillo & Fimiani, Kymono, Mille Punti, Mind Enterprises, Bruno Belissimo  and legendary cosmic disco pioneer Daniele Baldelli and french italo hitmakers Dov'e Liana.
Here comes the first single by Paul Older, Italian from the north. Famous in the dance world for producing funky, new school disco tracks that are played by DJs like Folamour, Jamie Jones and DJ Tennis. His song „Che Disco Vuoi“ has a big 1970ies influence. Deep & soulful.

Cody Currie & Kapote together in the studio! Delivering a 4 track EP that connects proto-disco, neo soul, Chicago house beats and jazz funk in a very spontaneous, super catchy way.
Cody, the London multi-talent musician, and Kapote, the Berlin-based creative head of Toy Tonics have a lot in common. Both come from studying jazz, knowing different instruments, having played in bands, and at the same time being DJs with a huge passion and the skill to rock thousands of people every weekend at the Toy Tonics Jams with a wild mix of different music. They have what we call THE VIBE. Soulful, catchy, intense. When they play records at a party and when they work on tracks. Both play keyboards, bass, guitar, and drums. Both sing. And both have funny nicknames that journalists gave them: Cody Currie was called “the Tom Misch of House music” and Kapote the “Wes Anderson of electronic music”. Makes us laugh but also fits well. And yes: Both are a bit crazy... like every extremely talented musician.
