First recorded vinyl mix, lil showcase of the tunes i've been buying recently/have had for years but have never played. hope it's okay, some interesting mixing but overall the tunes speak for themselves, i think 

Sorry for not posting anything for a while, and for the shortness of the mix, I'm not paying for soundcloud pro ;)

Shefftek Guesttek #12 - MI-ZI

Decided to upload my set from Shefftek Resurgence the other month. Had a lot of fun playing slower stuff that I don't get round to playing usually, nice funky tribe and tekno from 168 - 180bpm, first set business.

Hardtek is not dead! It's just not as good as it used to be.. It's also only on an outdated medium of playing music which goes for far too much money on Discogs, but it's very fun to mix ;) 

For me, this period from 2007 - 2012 truly marked the peak of Hardtek as a genre, like a lot of genres that emerged in the late 90's & early 2000's; Hardfloor and Hardtek really found their sound post 2005, from about 2007 I would say great artists that pioneered the scene perfected the art of high octane 190bpm slammers, silly melodies, and large reverse bass kicks; albeit with maybe a few too many dubstep breakdowns (definitely a product of the time). 

This mix is by me, MI-ZI, it's my second recorded vinyl mix and hopefully more shall be coming soon :) 

Shefftek shall always continue to push this type of Hardtek, alongside all the other great Tekno subgenres in the UK!

Almost live* due to one 1210 feedbacking, and the others stylus not playing the right side audio on 2 tunes, had to rerecord - but that is the nature of the beast using a silly medium of playing music ;) 

Wicked night, non-stop bangers from start to finish. Proper European freeparty vibe with amazing sets from everyone. 

Massive shout out to anyone who was there and to all the DJ's. Hopefully another soon ;)
