La PosmoBaby is the ethereal expression of Ximena Velázquez, queer Mexican-born artist residing in what’s colonially known as Vancouver. Along with video and performance, her work also includes fashion design, writing, and, most recently, DJing under the name La PosmoBaby. As a DJ, she explores sensuality and desire through the voices of powerful Hispanic femmes within the genres of pop, trap, reggaeton, dembow, and cumbia. La Posmobaby's current project is "Caricias" a monthly radio show airing on @bsidedotradio that celebrates queer joy and puts at the center the underground Spanish-speaking community in the city.
