Victor Crain - Changeling (St.Ego Remix) [Kodai]

Mia Bergmann schaut auf eine lange Technovergangenheit zurück: Kurz nach dem Mauerfall, 1991, kommt Mia im sächsischen Freiberg das erste Mal in Kontakt mit elektronischer Musik. 
Im Jahr darauf, mit 14, probiert sie im Jugendclub das erste Mal mit Schallplatten herum und ist sofort schockverliebt in „inkommerzielle elektronische Unterhaltungsmusik“. Seitdem hat sie die Liebe und Leidenschaft für Techno nicht mehr losgelassen – und zu dieser frühen Zeit ging es ja erst richtig los: mit den Anfängen der Underground-Techno-Szene in Freiberg, Dresden, Leipzig und vielen anderen Orten im Osten Deutschlands, immer mehr in Berlin sowie auf Ibiza – in den frühen Neunzigern bis 2000. In diesem Jahr folgt endlich der Umzug nach Berlin, wo sie Betriebswirtschaft und Sprachen studiert. Mehrmals war Mia kurz davor, vom gesparten Geld Plattenspieler und Platten zu kaufen, aber immer wieder war noch nicht der richtige Zeitpunkt.

Zwar hat sie die Musik immer begleitet – bei klassischem Klavier, Flöte, Ballett und Showtanz, später bei ihrer Ausbildung zum Aerobic Instructor, aber immer waren andere Themen dringender, und der Wunsch, selbst endlich DJ zu sein, musste warten. Doch nach 30 Jahren auf dem Dancefloor - vor dem DJ-Pult - und diversen Umwegen dann endlich die Traumerfüllung und der Wechsel auf die andere Seite: Seit Juli 2023 als Mia Bergmann – ihr Sound: am liebsten Deephouse, Techhouse bis Minimal – und als Oldschool-Lady am liebsten mit Vinyl. Mia möchte Menschen auf dem Dancefloor mitreißen und in Ekstase bringen und ihnen größtes meditatives Tanzvergnügen bereiten – ihr Sound ist tanzbar, treibend, hypnotisierend.

Mia Bergmann looks back on a long techno history: Shortly after the Berlin Wall fell in 1991, Mia first made contact with electronic music in Freiberg, Saxony.  The following year, at the age of 14, she tried out records for the first time in a youth club and immediately fell in love with “incommercial electronic entertainment music”. Since then, she hasn't let go of her love and passion for techno - and it was at this early stage that things really got going with the beginnings of the underground techno scene in Freiberg, Dresden, Leipzig and many other places in eastern Germany, in Berlin and on Ibiza - from the early 1990s to 2000. This year she finally moved to Berlin, where she studied business administration and languages. Mia was on the verge of buying turntables and records several times with the money she had saved, but the time was not right - yet.

Music always accompanied her - with classical piano, flute, ballet and show dancing, later during her training as an aerobics instructor - and again and again with her passion: dancing as her form of meditation. But the desire to finally becoming a DJ had to wait. But after 30 years on the dance floor - in front of the DJ booth - and various detours, finally the dream came true and the change to the other side became real: Since July 2023 as Mia Bergmann - her sound: preferably deep house, tech house to minimal - and as old school-lady she prefers vinyl. Mia wants to carry people away on the dance floor and bring them into ecstasy and give them the greatest meditative dancing pleasure - her sound is highly danceable, driving, hypnotizing.
