Los cuatro músicos de Nelumbo, banda formada en octubre de 2012, ensamblan canciones que se van balanceando entre diferentes veredas: blues, jazz, folk y rock. La composición sonora está dada por la línea rítmica de la guitarra de Jorge Estebenet (ex fundador y guitarrista de Nairobi) sobre la base de jazz que su contrabajista, Ignacio Gomez, y baterista, José Violante (ex integrante de la banda de Deborah De Corral), arman, y redondeada por las pinceladas de blues de la guitarra eléctrica de Juan Sanguinetti.

Su disco debut "40º" (EF036), grabado en directo por Nicolás Kalwill (CocoRosie) en cuatro sesiones en los Estudios Panda de Buenos Aires, fue producido en conjunto con Felipe Damario, masterizado por Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, David Lynch, Bombino, Arctic Monkeys, Dr. John) en Magic Garden Mastering (USA) y será editado a fines de mayo de 2014 por el sello argentino Estamos Felices. Incluye diseño de arte a cargo de la agencia Baauhs con fotografías de Gastón Suaya.

Hasta el momento se han presentado en el Hotel Alvear, Patio Bullrich, Paseo Alcorta, Oreja Negra, Galería Céntrico, y eventos para marcas como Veuve Clicquot, Baron B, Jameson y Dubié.

First official reissue ever for this Italian holy-grail soundtrack, finally back to life in a long-waited 180gr. limited edition, supervised by M° Giuliano Sorgini himself, who also wrote his personal liner notes. Remastered from the original master tapes that were preserved for more than 40 years in almost perfect shape, ZOO FOLLE is a highly sought after psych-funk album, a true masterpiece for all breaks-beat lovers, full of rhythmic percussion, acid flute, synth work, dark electronics, drum machines, and crazy hand-claps. The score was composed for an Italian TV movie in 1974, directed by Riccardo Fellini (brother of the most well-known Federico), and originally released on Ricordi Label in the same year. Featuring Edda Dell’Orso and some of the best and leading Italian session players in the soundtrack and library landscape, such as Maurizio Majorana and Antonello Vannucchi (from I MARC 4), Nino Rapicavoli on flute, and Giuliano Sorgini himself on organ, keyboards, piano, drums, and percussion

CAIRN -- a full length LP in collaboration with electronic producer Keith Sweaty -- a collection of beat driven tracks, analogue synths, acoustic piano and a wealth of vocals and lyrics by Trevor Oswalt a.k.a. East Forest. 

The timing of Cairn coincided with a time of deep personal change for Oswalt as he left a long-term relationship of many years and found himself in unexpected emotional depths. You can hear in the lyrics of Cairn a highly personal and honest dive into the world of loss and individual choice. With the added rhymes by Scarub of Living Legends, trumpet by Brad Lee of The Album Leaf, the analogue synths of Lorna Dune, along with stings by the ‘Bizarre Star Strings’ trio (Band of Horses, My Morning Jacket, Joanna Newsom) as well as Thacher Schmid (Emancipator), Cairn transformed into a grooved out electro-acoustic experience that is as simultaneously booty shaking as it is genuinely introspective -- both a personal and societal call to arms exploring contradictory truths such as destiny, choice, and personal responsibility, all against the backdrop of a civilization undergoing fundamental transition and transformation.
