Recorded on an auroral morning in an almost silent forest; this is Cami's first solo mix and we're honoured to share it with you :)

Over the past 8 years that I have been a DJ, I have never put out a solo mix of my own. I've always been very critical of myself when it comes to recording a set or a session, and I just haven't ever felt satisfied enough with anything I've recorded to submit it anywhere. However, this recent mix (taken from our latest Flowstate outing in May) feels different.

Everything about this mix encapsulates what I love about all the various shades of contemporary techno. Dark, groovy, sexy & hypnotic - and all at a pace that the whole room could rock too! The stars were seriously aligned that night, and for the first time ever I couldn't be more proud to share the results with you all. Enjoy!

Re-Flow Vol. 2 / Miagma

Here we present a live recording from Franko sourced deep within the Norwegian woods at this years Fragments forest event.

Words from the artist - 

This recording is from my closing set at the second forest rave we hosted with Fragments in the Norwegian woods this summer – a night that turned into our biggest production so far, and one I’m really proud of.

The set starts in complete darkness, slowly building in tempo and groove, shifting into lighter melodies and psychedelic playfulness as the sun began to rise. Morning sets like these are some of my favorites: balancing the ups and downs, keeping people on the floor without pushing too hard, while leaving space to breathe. A mix of joy, freedom, and the quiet melancholy of summer coming to an end.

As the sun rose over the hill behind me, we decided to extend the set by half an hour to let the first rays hit the dance floor through the smoke and create a truly magical morning. It gave me the chance to play some of the most beautiful tracks I know and gently bring everything to a halt. It was definitely one of the most fun and meaningful moments I’ve had behind the decks.

Born in London and having lived in Bristol, James Laing (@soundsfromthenightgarden) draws from the sounds of both cities, alongside his musical knowledge which he has gained during his classical compositional training. With releases on Melifera, Indefinite Pitch & Beatrice M's hybrid Dubstep label, Bait, Night Garden aims to create richly psychedelic & hypnotic pieces which combine modern sound design with classical theoretical concepts.

“Dubstep has been one of my favourite genres of music for years but I’ve often found it tricky to place alongside the deeper techno I usually mix. At the beginning of
this summer, dubstep is pretty much all I was listening to, so, when I was presented the opportunity to close a party I attended in Umbria in June, I thought I’d try and solve this issue. This mix builds from deep dubstep through to high-energy techno via more abstract forms of 140 in the centre.”

For this episode of TNDB, we invited D. Carbone to send in a mix. D. Carbone is a well respected artist within the scene, with multiple collaborations with massive artists and multiple labels under his wing. His LP "Carbone Master System" which was released last January has been supported by all the great artists and even has a few remixes from artists most producers could only dream of. Artists like AnD, CJ Bolland, Umwelt, Ascion & Hypnoskull.

It's a known fact that D. Carbone is one of the best producers/artists known in the scene. We are really grateful to consider Davide as a good friend and even happier to welcome him to this episode of "TNDB".
