We're thrilled to share our upcoming release, titled 'Flame Of The Pinecone' the 1st single of the upcoming album by the very talented Saxophonist, electronic producer and an established member of the Camel Riders family - ITAI, incl. remixes by Spaniol, Makossa, Deer Jade.
ITAI's splendid original exhibits a hypnotising atmosphere, created by a pounding swirling base-line, fused with heart-warming Guitar riffs, trippy vocal fragments, extremely pleasant woody sounds and glorious saxophone melodies which collide into a fascinating tale full of light and darkness. On remix duty, 1st we have the honor to have back Spaniol on our label with his with his Micro House-ish agitated interpretation full of Jazzy vibes. 2nd we have the pleasure to welcome to Camel Riders the Italian producer Makossa which crafted a bubbling and obscure exquisite version for the original, that will make you feel like you're in the middle of a lucid dream. Last but not least, we are thrilled to welcome Deer Jade to Camel Riders with her warm interpretation for ITAI's 'Flame Of The Pine Cone', displaying a melancholic yet cheerful base-line with groovy spiral sounds and outstanding synth riffs blended with the original's divine organic elements.
Here are some words by ITAI about the inspiration behind his wonderful original. "Flame of the Pinecone" was born on a stormy weekend in Idyllwild, with my partner, Wancy. In the midst of high December winds and a 24-hour power outage, we took a spiritual journey in a tiny cabin in the woods. On this dark, cold night in the mountains, we warmed ourselves by a small fire and, one by one, began adding giant California Coulter pinecones to the swirling flames. Watching these glorious cones burn was a whole journey on its own. As I stared into the fire, I began to sense the silhouette of a flamenco dancer emerging, and I was mesmerised. This image carried me home to Joshua Tree, where I immediately went to the studio and turned the vision into music - the track that is now "Flame of the Pinecone", the first single of the soon-to-be-released album "A Trip to Idyllwild."

Sūtra, meaning -  string, thread In Indian literary traditions refers to an aphorism or a collection of aphorisms in the form of a manual or, more broadly, a condensed manual or text. Sutras are a genre of ancient and medieval Indian texts found in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.
In Hinduism, sutras are a distinct type of literary composition, a compilation of short aphoristic statements. Each sutra is any short rule, like a theorem distilled into few words or syllables, around which teachings of ritual, philosophy, grammar, or any field of knowledge can be woven. The oldest sutras of Hinduism are found in the Brahmana and Aranyaka layers of the Vedas. Every school of Hindu philosophy, Vedic guides for rites of passage, various fields of arts, law, and social ethics developed respective sutras, which help teach and transmit ideas from one generation to the next.
Yoga Sutras – contains 196 sutras on Yoga including the eight limbs and meditation. The Yoga Sutras were compiled around 400 CE by Patanjali, taking materials about yoga from older traditions
Brahma Sutras (or Vedanta Sutra) – a Sanskrit text, composed by Badarayana, likely sometime between 200 BCE to 200 CE. The text contains 555 sutras in four chapters that summarize the philosophical and spiritual ideas in the Upanishads
Nyaya Sutras – an ancient text of Nyaya school of Hindu philosophy composed by Akṣapada Gautama, sometime between the 6th century BCE and 2nd century CE. It is notable for focusing on knowledge and logic, and making no mention of Vedic rituals
Kama Sutra – an ancient Indian Sanskrit text on sexual and emotional fulfillment in life

Camel Riders are back with the second single from ITAI's forthcoming album, and it’s a mesmerising cut of organic house with enchanting saxophones and varied percussion. The release also features individual remixes from Menachem 26, Evan Hatfield and Saqib.

ITAI has worked with other imprints such as LNDKHN, Exotic Refreshment and Talavera Records. Influenced by Arabic culture and the nomadic lifestyle, this is another fine example of ITAI’s unique style. Also a saxophonist, he blends his love of playing instruments with sequenced beats and electronic sounds, to create tracks with a ceremonial atmosphere that enraptures the dance floor.

Menachem 26 is a Turkish artist who provides the first of the remixes and is known for Bar 25 Music, Souq Records and Pipe & Pochet.

Evan Hatfield is also an American jazz musician who along with being a producer of electronic music is also fluent in sitar and in classical Indian music. He’s synonymous with the label Pinkturban along with a selection of other imprints ranging from Exotic Refreshment to Do Not Sit.

Last of the remixes comes from Saqib who's a Pakistani artist living in Brooklyn, New York. His mix of cultural heritage creates a unique blend of downtempo house, which he has showcased on labels including Magician On Duty, Dream Culture and Cue.

Each of these downtempo cuts of organic house has a deep and spiritual vibe with cinematic atmosphere and a groove perfect for the dance floor.

Adassiya and Bakean met in Paris in June 2020.
it was musical crush.
They quickly started their studio work to try out new ideas and the magic happened.

Covid-19 crisis stroke Both producers life nailing their performances to the ground.
Confinement made them realize they needed to express their art differently.

Guided by Adassiya melodic and yet subtle voice, Bakean started to improvise some Charango and the track Sa Ansa was born.

Out of some vocal and piano improv she heard in her dreams Adassiya layed the path to the hypnotic melody of “Mon Amour”. This track is not about a former crush or love story but about her family roots in Algeria.

Rebirth is about self awakening and the pursue of being the best version of yourself. Looking for light through the darkside.

Rebirth EP symbolises both artists reinventing their sounds through this global crisis.

Mia found herself in music at the age of 9 when she accidentally tuned into a radio that was playing classical music, born in the mid-80s, got most of her musical references from world music and developed from there her passion for musical research , born and raised in São Paulo, in the industrial area of ​​the city, had her first contact with local clubs in 2004, playing dark wave, synth pop, electro, industrial, always mixed with hits from the 80s.

In 2006 she set out on a journey beyond the local clubs and ventured into bigger clubs around São Paulo, following the same trends that started her in the underground circuit of the city. In 2012 Mia was enchanted by downtempo and its infinite possibilities of bringing to light so many references marked by her extensive musical research, redesigned her musical project in 2014 under the name Burkamina and founded Sonido Trópico, a party focused on America Latina downtempo, with a line of resident artists and receiving international names such as Nicola Cruz, Chancha Via Circuito, Barrio Lindo, Oceanvs Orientalis, among others.

Mia was able to teleport her audience to an atmosphere that was only hers, a world where communication between DJ and the floor happens almost through telepathy, strong and well-marked beats, African percussions, ethnic melodies, mixed with sophistication, lightness and a real wash in the soul during each set. After many years rocking the nights of São Paulo, in 2016 Mia left for her first performance outside Brazil, when she was invited to play at the Nômade Festival in Chile, in 2019 she went on her first European tour where she performed at the Fusion Festival in Germany , Katzensprung Festival and clubs like KaterBlau, Beate Uwe, among others, the tour was established between Germany and France and lasted 4 months.

Returning to Brazil, Mia reconnected with her roots, said goodbye to the name Burkamina out of respect for Middle Eastern culture and today presents herself under the name Mia Lunis, an anagram of her baptismal name, Mia brought with her countless references from Europe, adding to everything she's already shown to her audience, wrapping the sets in an indie, progressive way amid deep, melodic house and other strands, in 2020 Mia made her first appearance in the virtual version of the Burning Man festival, was invited to interview artists from the world electronics scene in the series "No Bullshit Talk" on her label Planet Ibiza where she´s also curating the podcast series called EBC and founded a hub for artists called World Citizen.

2021 continues with the release of her first solo EP entitled Caterpillar by the label Mau House Records, also releases the single Aurora on Café de Anatolia, performed again in the virtual edition of the Burning Man festival and has signed her sets by labels such as Rebellion Der Traumer, United We Stream, Electronic Groove among others. Mia keeps bringing her extensive references and telling her story through music, for those who want to connect and walk barefoot ready to embrace new journeys through the soul.
