The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Arvin T. The Brooklyn-based DJ and producer was raised and influenced by the melodies of new wave, early trance, Midwest techno, and Iranian disco. His artistic journey embodies a fusion of diverse musical influences and he is not only a discerning cultural critic within the local scene but also a fearless genre hopper, weaving sonic narratives that traverse the realms of past and present soundscapes. His performances blend neon synths, platinum kicks, and deep bass lines, paving a journey of musical crescendos and introspective valleys across every dance floor he commands.

He has not only captivated premier clubs in New York City but also garnered recognition beyond the east coast. In addition to stages at renowned venues like Paragon, Basement, and Bossa Nova Civic Club, he has also graced the decks of prestigious clubs such as Smartbar in Chicago and Sisyphos in Berlin. Today we are thrilled to present this set that spans across the multidimensions of techno and electro, with a splash of body/goth vibes.

Asymmetric head Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a characteristic five track EP 'Vague Reminders'.

'Curveball' kicks off the EP with solid intentions; a punchy kick overlayed with driving ever-moving gritty pulses and squelching bass. Next up, 'Shift-Register' brings purist techno to the fore with its slamming drums and swirling Detroit-like stabs. 'Bitter Horizon' turns up the darkness; heavy off-beat distortion and ominous atmospherics. In total contrast, title track 'Vague Reminders' is a beautiful slice of thought-provoking music; pads and melodic sounds play with each other over an almost heart-beat rhythmic bed. Closing the EP in style is 'Sepia Dreams' with its warped electro-like percussion and retro feeling melody.
