Synthesising delicate vocals with club-ready percussion, miamusa  (@__miamusa) is an artist, producer, and songwriter from Birmingham, now based in London, UK. Dissecting her identity through her music, miamusa’s layered sonics are inspired by her intersectionality as a queer, Black woman. Rebelling against the societal demarcations placed upon her, writing music became a tool for miamusa to channel her emotions as a teenager. She taught herself production, blurring the lines of electronic and R&B, and designing her sonic world inspired by a constellation of influences, including Kelela, James Blake, George Riley, SBTRKT, and TYGAPAW.

miamusa is emblematic of a new generation of creators. Boundaryless and unique, she exists at the cross-section of emotions and 808s, with a sound that is pure club catharsis
