Copenhagen-based artist peachlyfe announces Permission to Roam—the full-length concept album and sci-fi story forthcoming March 2024 on Nene H’s UMAY. The release features eight original tracks inspired by the artist’s self-authored story—a playful excavation of the transience and fluidity of gender, which compliments the release as a printed book, illustrated by Istanbul-based artist Cocln. 

On the release date, the artist will take over the renowned nightclub Den Anden Side in their hometown of Copenhagen.

About you:  MI$$ JUNIA is a DJ from Berlin who entered the electronic music scene behind the decks as well as as a club worker around 2022. They have begun to take a strong interest in attempting to understand, explore and bring-to-the-dance- floor a mixture of Detroit-influenced techno and house productions. In light of Black History Month, they want to encourage everybody to continuously learn about the rhythmic complexities, the cultural richness and history of electronic dance music as well as the Black pioneers, artists and technicians who paved the way for all of us.

"I’d have to say that „Life Is Back“ by Ash Lauryn is one of my favorite tracks right now. Every time I listen to it, I am reminded of springtime, summery playfulness and spontaneity. It’s good to keep all of this in mind to get through winter in Berlin."

@centraljazz, aka Viénce, is a DJ and producer based in Amsterdam, focusing on the more experimental realms of electronic music. Deeply rooted and inspired by breaks, electro, jungle, and IDM, Jazz Central aims to take listeners on a journey through improvisation. Moving from structured to unstructured, from smooth to in-your-face, from fast to slow, and from four-on-the-floor back to breaks, he strives to deliver the abstract essence of jazz.

Recorded at Oosterbar in Amsterdam during ADE, his set moves from some of his favourite progressive house tracks, up to slightly darker and percussive techno with music from the likes of INVT, Deetron and Mr. Ho, to make place for the techno oriented remainder of the night.

After playing in the fast rave lane for quite a while (and doing great there), Leeza takes it down a notch without compromising on the dopeness of her selections for a second.

FOLDs co-creator and technical wiz, have respectively become the driving force for UNFOLD; a haven made for their fiercely loyal and diverse crowd. With over six years of playing together, their high-energy styles compliment each other and produce a uniquely signature sound that is impossible not to move to. 

Ahead of their second all night long tomorrow night at FOLD - For Tapes #128 they bring us a recorded mix from live from UNFOLD LXXI.

A drive to better the experience of all they lay their hands on bleeds into their playing style with the booth often sharing more in common with a boxing ring; the pair sparring back and forth, introducing their own styles whilst moving in a mutual direction that can only be learnt with time. 

Voicedrone’s bass-heavy sound lays the groundwork to their sets and then shatters it, effortlessly moving between breaks, techno and jungle, whilst James Newmarch counterbalances him with his playful, yet unforgiving, fast tracks that leap between breaks and techno, being as infectious in their energy as they are with their positivity.
