Italian electro-acoustic composers Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti reconvene their unique Bellows collaborative project for a new album on Shelter Press.

Continuously drawing an hypnotic maze with albums on Boomkat Editions, Entr’acte, and Ielasi’s cult Senufo label, Bellows offers their first album on Shelter Press with Strand.
Clocking right under 40 minutes, Strand is direct and desorienting. With eight tactile but distant untitled tracks, the album convokes a complex sound palette between acousmatic sound and fractal beats.

Recorded in Milano at their very own Standards recording studio, Strand marks a shift in Bellows previous recording process, bringing more music gear on the table: tapes, modular synthesizers, effects and samples. Captured live over the course of a four days improvised session, the album floats between ghostly melodies, musique concrète, and analog electronics.

Echoing with the artwork by Amsterdam-based artist Louis Reith, whose collages made of found black and white images are disrupted by bold geometric constructions, the album is disorienting and fascinating,
seating right in between the challenging world of electro-acoustic and a more welcoming beat-oriented territory.

Strand is a fascinating body of work, growing over time and revealing more of its complexity at every listen.

Released on June 8th, 2017 on LP and digital formats. Mastered by Giuseppe Ielasi and cut at D+M, with artwork by  Louis Reith.

Accident du Travail. We fell in love with their album on Trilogy Tapes and after a coincidental (or not) meeting in Brussels, our 29th release and first ever live album slowly took shape. Recorded in the mythical London Cafe OTO in 2016, the outfit of Julie Normal and Olivier Demeaux explores a beautiful path of arrhythmic music, subaquatic sounds and celestial zones.

Folk music from another dimension by singular artist Kaboom Karavan and his new album "The Log and the Leeway", following a 6 year journey of personal exploration and drastic change. 

"The Log and the Leeway" is released 17th of July 2020 and features amongst others a bizarre cover painting by John Lurie (of The Lounge Lizards). It also comes with a 16 page booklet of musical illustrations by Walter Doogh & Erik K Skodvin that more or less connects and confuses the stories behind the record.

Enshrouded in high-pitched static and elusive fumelike oscillators come "Sundowning", a new mini-album signed by Preston Weippert's most prolific alias, aka Volunteer Coroner. Co-founder of the Colorado-based Trust Collective label, Weippert's music vectors a collection of desolate murals often painted with industrial-grade fuel. A low-resolution picture of oil fields burning from your window seat. Closed eyelids against the sun, into the red.
