This piece that I have written is about a toxic relationship with a narcissist. As a victim of a narcissist, you never truly know that you are in a bad relationship, in fact, you keep telling yourself that everything bad that happens in the relationship stems from you. This song is about a person who finally figures out and tries to get out of the relationship, as well as how they cope in retrospect to their memories of hurt and manufactured shame and guilt. 

You run, run and only run. Although your feelings tell you to run back to him. Hence the references to a particular Dua Lipa song during the sampling. The other two sampled music I’ve used is from Steven Universe, Here Comes a Thought, which teaches you how to deal with difficult emotions and Stronger Than You, where the heroin draws from their inner power’s only origin -  from love.

I hope this music can inspire others in the same situation and that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Enjoy.
