Mic(Mike)Ugly is a 27 year old music recording artist originally from Grande Prairie Alberta. He has been involved with hip hop for almost 10 years. He Started off writing lyrics and doing freestyle battles. After about 3 years of development and a hometown following Mic was dropping flows at underground parties  The energy of the crowd  and the positive reaction from every punch line was enough to fuel his confidence and to look at rap as something serious rather than joking around for fun. On Canada day of 2005 Mic ugly performed at a show with one of hip hops most influential DJ`s and an original pioneer DJ Rectangle. Mic moved away from his hometown to pursue an education to a career that was far removed from hip hop. Mic is a dreamer at heart but a realist and knows that the probability of making big in the music industry is a far reach. But that never stopped him from doing his thing. `` i kick knowledge, I already been to college and kept the flow polished`` Mic is portraying his music to have many layers. Since hip hop is predominately filled with the crack dealing, gun shooting, pimp slapping rappers. Mic has to identify with the listener and find some common ground. Past relationships, life experiences, TV, music ,news. These are the sources that Mic pulls his ideas from so the listener can identify with his music. Mic is at the point of his career where writing has been left on the back burner. Instead the lyrics are memorized as a 3-4 line stanza. It may take a 1 hr, 2hrs, 3 days to memorize that one stanza with proper delivery. Once he has it down, Mic adds another 4 stanzas. Now it may take 2 weeks just to have all 8 stanzas memorized. That`s not even half a verse. The moment Mic has 16 bars its off to you tube. Mic will practice his verse over hundreds of instrumentals all at different bpm`s.  This will allow him to stretch words and fill the pockets in the beat accordingly.
