Carcass

In preparation for the Final revision and realease of my "Platform 1" album, (through which I tell a story of humanity's collective effort toward survival) I am realeasing just this section of the song, featuring the poem that started it all for me.  It is simply the only man, on Earth, looking at the moon, and reflecting through metaphors.  as if the light bouncing off the moon were translated into visible sound waves.

on this track, I played all instruments and sang, as well as engineered it's recording and production.

an effect laden readthrough of my lyrics written for the poem, intiteled "MASK"
Just did a very quiet vocal take here, while reading something I wrote last week, to lay in the groundwork for the possible song, in the future, 
no click track or percussion, yet, but his is still pretty raw.
The song "MASK" ties into 3 of the previous albums i've released. (disregarding the sci fi story, of course.)

Imagine (John Lennon Cover)

A sort of history recap from the point of view of the Herdsman to all 12 of Lyra's special children.  He is hiding from them, the fact that he is the man named Gabriel Canis, who is the most wanted fugitive within the human race.  The machine he created on Earth, allowed for humanity to escape the dead planet and move the rest of the human population into space on giant landmasses from the Ocean floor. 
Later, the same machine was used to destroy a large portion of the newly inhabited moon.  The destruction is blamed on Canis, who was actually gone at the time, attempting to find a way to rejuvenate Earth itself.
With help of his synthetic "daughter" Procyonia, Canis has brought the twelve grown children together, after skipping along the zodiac colonies and tracking each one down within each colony's specialized workforce.
 
He is letting them make a choice to begin a revolution against the tyrannical regime that is forcing most human's into slavery on the moon and withing the twelve zodiac island colonies orbiting earth.  
This song incorporates several chord progressions and motifs from the first Two albums "The Searchlights" and "Lying in Weight" and pretty much summarizes the plot up to this point, with a few bendings of the truth by The Herdsman character(Canis)

The Proclamation Complete Demo

My very own cover of this lovely song, belonging to the band The Decemberists.  
A haunting nursery rhyme about a widely feared group of murderers in 1970's Ireland. 
I decided to put my own little version out, utilizing a sweet music box tone and some other keyboard and voice effects layered in for some extra spooks. 
I did intend to add a few more voices into this, though my microphone decided to take a cliff dive just after recording the main vocals.  I hope to get it back online so that I may add the choruses and whisper tracks I so desire to put in.
