I first played this set for my wife Tiffany a few nights ago.  I played through the tracks I would close my eyes and imagine myself on the playa rollerskating.  I would LOVE to play a set like this at the BRC Roller Rink.  Love, Blue

Once upon a time in a land that is not very far from here but very different from our own, there was a bright-eyed young boy with crate of records and a dream of playing them at Burning Man. He caught a ride in a friends RV with nothing but clothes, a cooler, blankets, and his record bag. His first set on the Playa was an 8 hour marathon set at Green Gorilla Lounge in a RAGING dust storm.

That was 2004 and 11 years later, the record has been shattered…..

This is the first installment of New Years Day, 2016, a 15.5 hour set running the gamut of musical genres from house to breaks, mid tempo to Funk and back again.

I will be releasing this in sections over the next couple of months, so be like Dre and keep an eye out for the next episode.

So much thanks and love goes out to Josh & Nicole for giving us the venue to make all of these incredible memories possible.

Moon In Capricorn

    Lake Tahoe……….specifically South Lake Tahoe in the summer of 1998 was an amazing time for house music and ALL my friends were into it……so I started collecting hip-hop records, named myself DJ sWiTcH and taught myself how to scratch and mix ANY place I could find a pair of technics. When I finally got a set of my own decks I melted most of my record collection in an unfortunate (yes I cried) ultra violet experiment (the sun in the back of my girlfriends Camaro). I gave in to that wonderful 4 on the floor that kept calling to me and fell in love with Deep House. 

     Just a smidgen of copyright infringement after a record release prompted me to use my real name “micah" and the first initial of my middle name “jason” to form (drumroll please) micah j. For the last 19 years I’ve been collecting deep house, deep and dirty breaks and, in most recent years, an insane amount of ghetto funk, keeping me diverse and ready to rock any festival, nightclub, outdoor or pool party any a you mo fo’s can throw at me (yes that is a dare).

     I could give you a list of my crowning achievements, big acts I’ve opened for, countries I’ve played in, celebrities I’ve f@&%ed……….BUT THAT SHITS BORING. All I’m gonna say is if your partying on my dance floor, get ready for a chunk of dirt sprinkled with funk, making every set a new and exciting experience for the DJ and the dance floor……..engage
