After a really busy period with a load of remixes, gigs plus a marathon of studio work it has been really great putting together this mix tape as it's been the first we have done in a while. Over the past few months we have been working on the follow up to One Night A The Disco which in itself has been challenge. We have set our own targets pretty high so many of the projects we have started have wound up as free downloads rather than EP tracks as we want this next release to be really special. 

For the mix tape we chose a few old classics to open up the set & then tried to stay true to the One Night At The Disco concept of choosing killer tracks & re-edits of music over the years that we feel have been seminal records. After the intro that was part of a 25 year documentary about Studio 54 is Conway & Temple. A track we have always loved but have never tried to re-edit because you could argue is pretty perfect anyway. In the same vein is Asso - Don't Stop. I can honestly say that this is my (Ra) favourite boogie track of all time. Just listen to the bass and the pure Italio groove oozing from all angles.Beautiful! I have to say it was fun adding in the Don't Stop accapella in the mix, a little cheesy I know but fun all the same!

Moving onto the re-edits first up is our homeboy from Washington - Trev-Ski. This guy is killer & is so underrated. We have been in discussion with him following his release on All Starrs so Trev is back in the studio burning the midnight oil getting a project ready for the second half of this year that won't disappoint. The Disco Syndicate - West End Girls is pure genius! I have to say that it really makes our day when someone takes a truly great track that you would not expect to be re-edited & does it proud rather than the 10 millionth re-re-re-edit of Melba Moore - Love's Comin' At Ya if you know what I mean! 

The rest of the mix is pretty well a Retrospective showcase with the exception of the the great Get Down Edits - Chic number & the awesome Sunner Soul - Pump It Up. 80's Child is our latest signing & our new secret weapon. Danny has been on our radar for sometime & now that we are working on a new format of artist projects rather than individual release we though now was the time to bring him into the family. Gregg aka Fingerman edits is a legend and we are super proud to have him in the gang too. This guy is similar Rayko in that he's a musical machine but only of the highest quality. Last but by no means least is our own in house superstar - Rayko! Step out of My Dreams is one of the 4 anthems on his latest release on Retrospective out on July 8th.
