I got my first taste of DJ'ing in 93' at the amazing Labrynth held weekly at the 4 Aces Club at 12 Dalston Lane, ran at the time by Joe and Sue.  I was a baby really, having just turned 20 years old.  I played house, vocal house and progressive house in the Basement and Attic rooms.   I was passionate through and through about music. 

After I left there, I was a frustrated DJ.  Having had a taste of it, I wanted more, and in 95' started putting on my own parties in the basement of a local restaurant.  I quickly outgrew the venue and did a few more parties at bigger venues - in Crucifix Lane in London Bridge with CJ Mackintosh and at The Park in Kensington with the fabulous Paul Gardner and at a venue just off the Old Kent Road.  All of them were sell out parties and full to capacity.

It wasn't until 98' that I was introduced by mutal friends to Paul. We were both running parties and decided to bring the parties together and Kinky Malinki was created.  Together we designed the music policy and decided what DJ's fit our style perfectly.

I had the best few years growing it with Paul, and we had parties in some amazing London venues, Ibiza, and some of the biggest nights and venues around the UK, with some of the worlds best DJ's that played what we wanted to hear. 

I had to leave reluctantly, as I'd had a daughter and my relationship was getting strained, however I had so much respect for Paul I knew in my heart he would continue what we'd started and keep growing the party.

Now for the 25th Anniversary I'm back, and out of retirement.  My passion for the music never, ever left. Music has been a part of my life since my teens when I was infatuated with dance music as a 13 year old school kid.

This mix is for groovers and movers, singers, arm swingers and shape throwers.  For those that prefer rhythm and melody over banging beats 💃🏻🕺🔥❤️

It has tracks from some of my favourite producers right now.  It's souful, funky, disco, deep and groovy and there's plenty of vocals to sing along to.

I started my foray into DJ'ing in 93' at the wonderful Labyrnth, playing early progessive house, so my love and my affection lies with the music that reminds me most of that wonderful era.

This music is deep, sexy, has big breaks, a scattering of vocal, uplifitng melodies, but also has tracks you can get completely lost in, like the early house music managed to do to your mind.

This music reminds me so much of all the house music I've loved since 93'. It especially reminds me of the music I loved to play when I was more involved with Kinky Malinki in my favourite era of 2002 through to 2005/6
