Habits is one of those unique blend of feelings, its gangster, sexy, relatable, and fun... In fact we aren't quite sure why its not on the same level as Lorde's Royals... Anyway, when Guy's ppl reached out to us about this song we were happy to lend a hand at a remix. We thought it was a nice departure from our usual stuff and would be fun to do something a little more pop based. When Hedegaard's song "Need You Right Now" came out back in April, I searched for his management's email for hours so I could get a chance to remix this song. I finally got in touch with them, and they gave me the stems. I went through a couple of ideas, but I wanted this song to be a little bit more festival-worthy, like my remix of his song "Go Back." 

I spent a month and a half working on this remix and almost got it to where I was completely happy with it. I played it at a concert in Knoxville for a crowd for the first time, and people loved it. The next day, I left for to Europe for 2 months without my laptop. No music production at all. No releasing finished music. It felt like a part of me was missing. 

As soon as I got back to the US, this song was one of my top priorities. I changed a couple things, I added some others, I cleaned it up, but most importantly, I got to the point where I can say this song is something I am incredibly proud of.
