I Start Counting, Fortran 5, Komputer are the 3 incarnations of electronic pioneers Simon Leonard and David Baker who signed to Mute in 1984. Having a unique approach to eletro-pop and techno they have a collaborated with Rod Slater, The Orb and Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band amongst others. 

Remixes were provided by the likes of Vince Clarke, Moby, Joey Negro, David Holmes and Pascal Gabriel, while the duo supplied remixes for other artists including Erasure, Inspiral Carpets and Laibach.

Während für die Zeitgenossen vermutlich vor allem die satirischen Strophen auf zeitgenössische Pariser Honoratioren von Interesse waren, schätzt man ihn seit der Romantik wegen seiner eindringlichen Gestaltung der stets aktuellen Themen Liebe, Hoffnung, Enttäuschung, Hass und Tod, besonders im ersten Teil des Großen Testaments. Nach ihm sind viele Collèges in Frankreich benannt.

Hier der "Erdbeermund" vorgetragen von einem der größten Genies des deutschen Films, Klaus Kinski. Genie und Wahnsinn...sind untrennbar vereint!
