DJ DOC MIKE is the CEO and founder of Self Xpressions Audio and Design Studios.

Even as a child DJ DOC MIKE had a deep love of music. As a teenager his passion turned from jam boxes to turntables.

His first break into the music business came in 2002 when he was hired on as resident DJ at club AFTER DARK in Albemarle, NC where he worked for two years.

In 2004, he started work as manager at SOUTH BEACH PALAMINO in Charlotte, NC where he worked for two years.

In 2007 DJ DOC MIKE moved with his family to Lumberton, NC where he continued work as a free lance DJ. It was there in 2009, with the help of his friend Chad Bellamy, that he started Self Xpressions Audio and Design Studio out of his home. The two spent countless hours together designing and constructing the studio. The studio officially opened for business on February 1, 2009. Using the quality sounds of PROTOOLS and the beat making capabilities of REASON, Self Xpressions quickly became a magnet for local talent and had four songs released on the radio in the first year.

In the summer of 2011 DJ DOC MIKE moved once again with his family to Winston Salem, NC. Plans are now in the works for a new state of the art studio to open in Winston Salem, NC. DJ DOC MIKE continues work as a free lance DJ.
