When you say trance, you say Sied van Riel who has released tracks on the biggest trance labels out there such as Black Hole Recordings, Armada, Spinnin’, Flashover and High Contrast. Sied has done remixes for Armin van Buuren & Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gate, Offer Nissim and more. In 2008 he became an official Dance 4 Life ambassador, a charity that improves the lives of people with HIV and Aids for which he donated tracks. He has his own radio show called ‘Rielism’. At the end of 2013 Sied is releasing the second edition of his own compilation series also called Rielism.
 
David Forbes’ musical career is spanning almost 2 decades resulting in a discography that would make any producer jealous. David is one of the UK’s most respected and versatile producers of this time with his experience and unparalleled knowledge of the industry. He has had releases on some of the most respected labels such as Subliminal, Vandit, Spinnin’, Reset, Liquid, Doorn, Anjunabeats, Flashover, Captivating Sounds, AVA, Coldharbour, S107, 68Recordings, Black Hole Recordings, Universal, Whoop, Five AM to name just a few. His productions have also been featured on compilations by major artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Markus Schulz, Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery and Tiësto.

Not showing any signs of letting up in the new year, Whiskey Pickle Records keeps the funk rolling with a brand new single from the legendary duo of Gavin & Robbie Hardkiss. As founders of the classic U.S. rave progenitor Hardkiss alongside their sorely missed brother Scott Hardkiss, the pair have been mainstays in every aspect of dance music as producers, promoters, label heads, and world-class DJs.

Fast forward to 2014 and the lads are still at it, offering up their latest creation in the form of “RetroactiveFuturisticPsychedelicFunkBump,” the second single from their forthcoming album 1991 which is due later this year. A slick slab of electro-boogie rhythms, the single features vocoded vox and a nasty bass that'll take listeners on an interstellar voyage from Cybotron to Planet Rock.

A release such as this requires some serious thought when considering remixers, and Whiskey Pickle spared no expense. Having such industry luminaries as James Curd (of Greenskeepers fame) and Q-Burns Abstract Message, as well as Gavin Hardkiss' own Hawke moniker on board has proved to be essential in creating the total package. Each remixer finds a perfect, complimentary vibe to the original; whether it's the glossy, disco-funk of the James Curd version, or the relentless 808 bass and layered breaks on the Q-Burns Abstract Message treatment … or maybe it’s the retro, balearic vibe of the Hawke remix that does the trick? Whatever the occasion, Whiskey Pickle has the correct medicine to ease any afflictions.

'Heavy', the new EP from composer William Ryan Fritch is a bombastic and ever-moving work that draws equally from the forward-thinking arrangements of modern chamber music as it does the snarling, imposing presence of Garage Rock. The whirring barrage of sounds and textures that percolate through it’s six songs are both wildly varying and effortlessly assimilated.

Bass Clarinets and French Horns growl and moan in concert with bursts of analog synths and electric guitars. Thundering primitive rhythms crunch and grind while strings, harps and flutes scurry about in the wake of each percussive stomp and crack. Using only live, acoustic, and un-sequenced instrumentation, Fritch contorts and bastardizes familiar styles and idioms much like electronic musicians do through sampling; by oversimplifying their forms, altering their tone and texture, and tangling them together in irregular and complex ways.

This EP is the most recent installment in Lost Tribe Sound’s ever expanding 'Leave Me Sessions Subscription Series'; an endeavor that will see 10 albums of Fritch’s music (more than 6 hours of new music) released in a span of less than nine months. In addition to this ambitious spate of records, the long awaited release of his collaborative project with drummer Jon Mueller (Volcano Choir), Death Blues  'Ensemble' is slated for release by the label, Rhythmplex on September 23rd, 2014.

'Heavy' will be available for purchase as a digital EP August 19th. It will also be included as a bonus download card to those who purchase the Deluxe LP Book of 'Revisionist', the epic final installment of William Ryan Fritch's Subscription Series coming later this Fall.
