I had the vocals a lot higher on my monitors, but when I listened to it on my laptop, the vocals were overpowered. Since I figured most FB listeners would be on their laptops, I dropped the vocals, because vocals are the main point I'm critical about. The whole thing probably took about 8 hours of work for recording, mixing, and doing whatever myself. 

If you have any advice, criticism, I'd be happy to hear it. I plan on putting out a song a week. I tend to work on a song for 3 hours after I wake up, and then periodically through the day.

All parts recorded on a single Perception 200 mic, which to me is a little harsh.  I'm saving for a Shure SM7B.

Don't Know, Would You

Oldie, but goodie. Made this song I think freshman year, first semester. It's actually quite different than what I normally make, but I was trying to make something a bit more acousticy like this. The next original track I put on will be trippy, I promise ;)

Music tech stuff: Mixed this one in my car, oddly enough. Car speakers gave me a clean interpretation of how the sound is. It was interesting, but I think the instruments came out well. Still need to find better reverb for vocals.

Colors

July, My Lover!  A song I wrote freshman year of college.  I thought this song could make me a million dollars... we'll have to see about that =) The song has a pretty consistent theme of time passage and two people changing within those times.  So is life!
