I've always been hesitant to upload this mix because some of the mixing actually makes me cringe lol... But please remember I was only a kid and this is a STRICTLY VINYL mix which was done on a pair of cheap crappy BELT DRIVE turntables (Omnitronics I think they were called lol). At the time this mix was the dogs bollocks and got me my 1st ever residency at one of Wolverhamptons biggest and most respected night clubs at the time (Picasso's)... Mikey G, notorious for his hard-hitting, unique sets, is a DJ from Birmingham, now living in Leicester, UK.
Mikey grew up listening to a wide variety of dance music and was heavily influenced by the bass heavy music being played around the midlands. He gained a huge interest in Drum & Bass, Garage and Bassline/Speed Garage. 

Having been to hundreds of dance events, he decided to learn to DJ himself and began honing his skills, and was soon booked to play at local club nights. 

He started playing at various Drum & Bass events around the UK and supported numerous big name DJ’s across the scene. He became interested in ‘Jackin House’ and ‘House & Bass’, new styles of music giving a fresh twist on the Garage tunes he grew up listening to. 

He began DJ’ing at events regularly across the Midlands and as his popularity grew, so did his busy Dj’ing schedule - which is now frequently jam-packed, playing for many various club nights in the D&B and Bass House scene. 

In August 2015 Mikey was asked to play at the closing party at Summerfest, a world leading skydive event in Chicago USA. After delivering a 6hr non-stop marathon set, he didn't disappoint! 

Mikey plays at many events based around the Midlands and has gained residencies at nights including Nostalgia, Toxsikk, Latenight Bass, Lips, Wheel It Up, DNA and Houseproud as well as playing at festivals such as Forbidden Forest & Xstatic. 

He has been asked to guest on numerous radio shows including Demon FM, Radio 2 Funky & Loco London as well as appearing on numerous online live streams especially during the Pandemic where he regularly kept fans entertained with his own mixes and guest appearances. 

Mikey regularly posts live mixes on his Soundcloud page which have gained a large world-wide audience and are eagerly anticipated by many. 

His recent Collateral Damage mix series has had a huge response and he has now introduced his Mikey G & Friends mix series where he will be inviting top Drum and Bass MC's to feature on his mixes. 

He ensures any mix or live set he does has lots of energy and ground-shaking bass to keep the crowd dancing from start to finish.
