Another dream became true for me: I got the chance to do a cover version of the 72s classic song from Timmy Thomas. It`ll be out on june 15th 2015 on d:vision records. Feel free to leave some comments!

We are very proud to welcome Timo Jahns on d:vision.
Hailing from Göttingen, Timo is a mainstay in the German underground party circuit thanks to an endless list of re-edits, including his rework for the timeless ‘Pearls’ by Sade officially released on Get Physical’s sublabel Poesie Musik and flying through the Beatport charts earlier this year.
His love for soul singers is nothing new, so it’s no surprise that his latest release come in the form of a deluxe makeover of the 1972 Timmy Thomas masterpiece ‘Why Can’t We Live Together’.
Completely reimagined from top to bottom, this light and modern rendition beautifully lead the tune into pure atmospheric deep house territory that fits perfectly with the sultry and melancholic vocals which simply oozes passion. Exceptional from start to finish.

Original released in 1989 on vinyl only, and never reissued. 2012 edit by Full Brain: removed sections which contained samples of "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)" by Melanie, which is a great song, but doesn't belong on top of "The Sun Rising"; applied reverb at one of the seams; and applied flanger, phaser & EQ to end.

Some of us know Sheldon personally as the eternal host, a man who is always bringing people together and turning the most boring of get-togethers into all out celebrations.This is Pan/Tone, man of the people and someone who's a welcome edition to any party's soundtrack.On the other hand some of us know him as the guy who tips us over, or the guy who puts us head-first in a puddle. This is Sid Le Rock, a soul of mischief like no other, but also a hero of sorts who stands up for the common man in a world in constant threat by evil super-posers.

Wild Belle - Its Too Late (Employee Of The Year Remix)

Sheldon Thompson AKA Sid Le Rock has been at the forefront of quality electronic music for almost a decade now. Originally hailing from the Northern extremes of Ontario, Canada, his search for meaning led him to discover techno in it’s spiritual home, Detroit, before moving to musical hotbed Toronto and finally settling in the Berlin where he now resides.

Thompson’s music to date has been released through some of the best labels around including Shitkatapult, Mute, Ladomat 2000 and of course My Favorite Robot Records for whom he debuted early in 2012. Now Sheldon looks forward to his fourth Sid Le Rock album due on MFRR in April of this year and as part of the build up sees here the release of lead single ‘Foreign Love’.
