Frederic Chopin Nocturne cis moll

In this little psychological drama, a brief overture is played; the curtain then goes up. A dialogue ensues, rife with questions, doubts, and 'half'' answers, amongst a cast of characters who come on and off the stage. The sun comes out at the end to resolve the conflicts(as in the only way out is OUT) This work reminds me of  Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute.) Mozart is having a lot of fun as usual, playing with his audience!

Le Monde Est À Vous (The World Is Yours)- Piano Solo

Enregistrement live du « Récital à la jeunesse » donné par Florence Robineau le 26 mars 2013 à la Grange Sainte-Geneviève à Rungis.

Ce concert est dédié à mes élèves avec un programme composé de pièces illustrant leur parcours instrumental et musical au cours des trois cycles d'étude au conservatoire.
Ce projet a été réalisé en partenariat avec Alexandre Douvry responsable de la Bibliothèque musicale Arlette Sweetman (La BmAS est située dans les locaux du conservatoire de Rungis)

Practicing piano is something I NEED to do in order to keep my chops up and also give me inspiration for when I'm writing my own records.  This here was a favourite of mine many years ago when I was competing (though I'm more rusty at it now!).  Mendelssohn's beautiful Songs Without Words Opus 102 No. 4 or otherwise known as the The Sighing Wind.

I performed this on a Bechstein D 282 which gives it that metallic and powerful sound.

When I first heard Frank Hiemenz' brilliant recording of Albeniz' "Asturias" I was inspired to create an chamber orchestra  arrangement around his solo guitar recording to give the piece more of a guitar concerto feel. I was just practicing tonight and felt like recording one of the pieces.  Beethoven's Sonata No. 14 in C# minor Op. 27 No. 2, or otherwise known as 'Quasi una fantasia' or the 'Moonlight Sonata'.  I recorded this on a Steinway D and mastered it in my mastering studio www.alpinemastering.com

Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata (Glenn playing on a Steinway D)

Piano Concerto No. 23 K. 488, 2nd movement: Andante/Adagio in F-sharp minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1786).

The instrument is a Clavia Nord Piano 3 using a sampled extra soft Bösendorfer 130 upright piano, with effects, and a sampled Willow flute.
