With Her Version Of My "Desdemona"
The First Time I Heard It
I Cried From Unusual Places
She'd Turned My 'Confessional' Song
Into An Anthem Of Forgiveness
A Room-Sized Sing Along
Her Raspy Voice Made The Words Seem 
More Important & More Painful

Commissioned Me To Do A Song About An Oceanic Condition 'La Niña' 
I'd Previously Done A Song Called "Cheese"  
For A Wisconsin Dairy Story  
It's One Of My Favorites 
But Wasn't Well-Recorded  
Fortunately Through Our Occasionally Straying 7-Year-Old  
I Discovered My Music-Professor 
Chorale-Conductor Neighbor, Larry
Had A Recording Studio In His Basement  
So A Huge Thanks To Larry Farrow 
Who Recorded This & It Still Sounds Fabulous 
No, Really Larry - There's An Abbey Road Sharpness

And My Voice Sounds Good Too

I’m driving home - 9PM - A block from my house 
When Cyndy Garvey... Steve’s first wife & minor-celeb, herself 
Face-off at a 4-Way stop 
At Crescent Heights & Pickford st
I was the first to enter the intersection
And Cyndy drove her car... from a stop… 
Right into mine on the passenger side  
Cyndy was surprisingly vile & unkind 
Which fortunately was not hard for others (cops) to see

When I got home I tried to decompress from the weirdness
Having been attacked by a dark-barbie type - 
A celebrity from the past
Who had literally driven into my car... out of anger/rage
It seemed like a Garp type moment
And I knew I needed to create something  
So I did this… Cos when you’re 60 
It gets easier to forget what you did yesterday…

This track has become an incredibly fun re-discovery
It had been mislabled in my itunes library for 15 years
But fortunately now at 75 - I'm retired enough to have the time 
to stumble over 'mislabled moments' like this
And occasionally get lucky & go, wow
At times this track reminds me of a mid-70's 'Wings' cut
Or a Harrison Outtake from The White Album
