This edition of the Innerflight mix series features a true electronic music scene legend, Michael Manahan. The dude has his imprint all over the Pacific Northwest music scene with his involvement in Oracle gatherings, Cascadia Festival, Re-Bar, Hunt And Gather and many many more. Just in case you live under a rock and haven't heard this guy weave his web of mesmerizing music before, you're in luck. This mix was recorded live in support of Matthew Dear in January at the Monkey Loft and is a smooth blend of Amazonian vibes brought to a simmer and served hot. Michael will be celebrating the release of his new EP out on LAIKA Sounds with us at our Drop party at the Monkey Loft Friday March 4th along with another local legend Zacharia and Innerflight's own legend Rhines. It's all gonna be very legendary to say the least. Let us make party.

Last year at Burning Man I finally managed to experience the incredible Camp Never Sleep Again. From the decor, music and the hospitality of the camp members, I immediately fell in love with it. Most of my friends were on the lineup, and it was a joy to connect with them, but also making a lot of new friendships. I'm looking forward to next year's burn, where you will most likely find me hugging people at Camp Never Sleep Again. 

Today's journey is all about melancholia, all about hugging the person next to you, while you close your eyes. Passion, love and intimacy. Listen to this journey as you recollect sweet memories....close your eyes and dream of future higher vibrations.

This is a story about curiosity.
When wandering through nature, I quickly find out that I am in no control. This is essential because then I can freely indulge in its spontaneity, revelation, fruitfulness and those mystical shows which nature performing for us. I am just a sole floating observer and it’s up to me how devoted I am to dive into the pores, details and meanings.
My way was to consciously trip on the nature and let the unconscious do the work. By that I was sure that I don’t know anything and was ready to curiously absorb all the magnificent moving distractions. And that’s how the album was unfolding - I just wander and the wonders open up themselves.
The whole journey was beautifully exhausting, filled with various versatile living beings “who do not sweat and whine about their condition, nor lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins”.

Michael Manahan's first release with Wulfpack is a truly remarkable downtempo track in its entirety. His take on 32nd Degree's "Medicina Adentro" uses a deep sustained bass that soothes deep in the core like a sonically cleansing delta wave, while a bird chirps curiously overhead and lightly dancing synth pans and delays left to right, swinging along with the shuffling rhythm with ease. Michael masterfully explores the stereo field and the entire frequency range with his downtempo skill. This remix is sonically pleasing from start to finish, grab a copy in addition to the whole EP!
